  1. The save you attached doesn't have any coasters (only two observation towers that already have their ratings).
  2. Try changing the graphics settings in the options menu (top right in main menu). In particular, try different renderers (hardware, software, OpenGL) and fullscreen options. If that doesn't help, please include a screenshot of that window.
  3. Click 'Filter' in the top-right of the window. You likely have it filtered to only show selected items.
  4. The limits will be greatly increased in the future. For now, you can open the object selection window in-game through the cheats dropdown menu (enable that button first through options) so you don't have to be 100% sure of your selection before building. As for the additional scenery pieces: If you have a save of that park, you can just open it and the items will be added (or downloaded) automatically.
  5. In the early days, OpenRCT2 used the original RCT2 executable for running certain parts of the game. This has been completely removed and OpenRCT2 only runs on OpenRCT2 code. Replacement graphics and sounds are being made, but the process is still very slow, as it is a very difficult job. The biggest problem is that the replacement graphics must look similar to the original graphics because of the custom content that should work with both the original and replacement graphics, a problem that OpenTTD did not have. In short, there are plans to become completely independent from RCT2, but with the option to use original assets.
  6. Yes, you need RCT1 installed to see the RCT1 terrain and wall textures. (Technically you don't need to have it installed, only some specific files from it, but installing RCT1 is the easiest way to do so)
  7. If you clicked yes in the dialog asking to send the dump to the developers (if you did not, I just did that successfully), it has already been reported to the developers. See #14198 for another report.
  8. Same as 5 years ago, but 5 years closer. There's a new save format that's being worked on which is the most important prerequisite for unlocking the limits. After that, limits will likely slowly go away see below.
  9. In the options, enable cheats. Then in-game, you'll find a golden shovel. Click it to open the cheats menu where you can give yourself any amount of money (or disable money), win scenario, change weather, etc. Click+hold the golden shovel for some more advanced cheats/hacks. This way you can turn any scenario into a sandbox. The other option is to create your own scenario.
  10. No, and I don't think there ever will be (unless apple makes it easier to do so, but they're heading in the opposite direction). If you want to play on an iPhone, grab RCT:Classic instead.
  11. I see nothing odd on the screenshots. For Loup-Garou, the cars and scenery are not available in that particular scenario. It wil probably load fine in other scenarios (try six flags belgium). Crazy Caterpillar simply includes some scenery that is colored red and white, if you don't like it, click the temple in the bottom right.
  12. No, see #3269 for discussion. There likely is (or will be) a plugin that does this.
  13. Slower game speed is being worked on: #13869 Rewinding the game is currently impossible due to information being thrown away as soon as it's no longer relevant (where did that peep turn?). The only way to do this currently is to store the entire state of the game of previous frames (and possible simulate forward a bit from there), which is likely not feasible either. If you want to rewind, load a savegame or make a video and rewind that.
  14. There’s already an Android version available, but it’s not easy to setup and maybe has some more issues. It works, but classic likely still works better.
  15. Looks like you have set the correct folder, but OpenRCT2 somehow can't access the files that should be there. Have you checked that the files there exist? If the files are there, you may have more luck moving the entire RCT2 folder (or at least the required parts of it) to another location and pointing OpenRCT2 to there (I have it in the same folder as OpenRCT2), that should prevent any problems with reading rights.
  16. So you have both OpenRCT2 installed and RCT2 downloaded? And when you open OpenRCT2, it asks for your RCT2 game path (and possibly complains about not being able to find g1.dat)? Find the place where RCT2 (not OpenRCT2) is downloaded and, when opening OpenRCT2, point OpenRCT2 to that directory (do not select the ".../[steam]/Roller Coaster Tycoon 2: Triple Thrill Pack/data" directory, just ".../[steam]/Roller Coaster Tycoon 2: Triple Thrill Pack"). Then everything should work out of the box. I don't own a Mac, so I won't be able to troubleshoot if it does not work.
  17. If you have another computer with windows you can use that to download the game files from steam and copy them over.
  18. There are devs who really care about RCT1 compatibility and they're still working on it, see #13614 and #13636. When I try to change the RCT1 directory, the game does not crash. I don't know what could have caused the crash on your system, but if it remains a problem please open an issue on GitHub and there might be some devs willing to help you.
  19. From what I can see on GitHub, this issue was reported at about the same time as here. It was introduced 5 hours before that and fixed 4 hours after the report. Update your game and it should be fixed.
  20. You can't change the color of the text, but you can change the color of pretty much every window in the game (options -> correct tab -> change theme -> make sure you select a non-default theme or create one -> edit theme -> change the colors of the notifications window.
  21. It indeed requires a new save format (required for pretty much all hard numbers currently in the game). Lifting the original game limits is already planned, likely including this.
  22. IIRC Mechanics heading towards a ride will ignore their patrol zones. With many breakdowns in a large park, mechanics may be called to rides far outside their patrol zones from which it may be hard to return to their patrol zone. Is this what you're experiencing? Does the problem occur in older versions of ORCT2? (if not, please provide the version number of that build (without bug) and your current build (with bug) so we can investigate and hopefully reproduce)
  23. The 'problem' is in the server settings. You'll need to find the owner or a moderator of the server to gain building rights. If the server description points to a discord link, that is the place to get it.
  24. You can see your construction rights by going to the buy land tool, accessible from the park window. I'm not sure if it still works if there's no more land for sale, but there's already a github issue for that.
  25. First time I've heard of this idea. I like it and I don't see a reason why it can't be done, but I'm pretty sure it will be far from trivial to properly add to the peep behavior (and I've never seen a queue with a junction yet).
