Welcome!People who are bothered by bronies must lead terrible lives... :P
-
[Ik bepaal zelf wel hoe ik je noem... :P]Anyway, welcome. Rune already pointed to the dev chat. There are plenty of bugs to work on, and we can always use extra developers, particularly now both the main devs (IntelOrca and Duncanspumpkin) are busy with other things and a lot less active. I'm the third developer in terms of commits, but I'm still busy getting anywhere near their level.

How does multiplayer work?
Gymnasiast replied to DeliciousOatmeal's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
Be warned: multiplayer is currently too buggy for another other than testing and bughunting. We are still working on it. -
Having a scenario selection window that is sorted by origin (RCT1, RCT1 AA, RCT1 LL, RCT2, RCT2 WW, RCT2 TT, Real, Custom, etc.) is in the plans. Having some scenarios of our own is also something that would be nice to have eventually.

Research - Name of Ride "(undefined string)"
Gymnasiast replied to AnUrbanPenguin's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
It doesn't, have you tried clicking it yourself? It will open an image of exactly the same size as your thumbnail. As for a problem in the deployment of the app: possibly. PFCKrutonium (one of the admins here) made the launcher BTW, he should know more about it. (I'm a OpenRCT2 dev, the launcher is not under my control.) -
No One Goes On RollerCoasters?
Gymnasiast replied to Gman1255's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
15 seems to be the limit, you will get hardly anyone (if anyone at all) to ride your roller coaster if you go beyond that. In most scenarios between rides with an intensity rating between 13 and 15 will also attract far fewer guests. Here is a tip: every guest has a preferred ride intensity. You can see it on the second tab of a guest's window. For example, if a guest has a preferred ride intensity of between 2 and 8, he will only queue for rides with according intensity ratings, so he won't queue for gentle rides and the more intense roller coasters. -
Completed Park Not Ticked

No, they don't. Clicking the thumbnails will yield an image exactly the same size as your thumbnail. -

That screenshot is way too small to see anything.Anyway, it sounds like you haven't extracted the language files properly. These should go in Data/Language. -
Cannot reproduce this. Are you running the latest build?

In RCT2 and thus OpenRCT2, mechanics will enter a ride via the entrance if the station does not have an exit. What version of OpenRCT2 are you using?

Problem with LIM launched rollercoaster
Gymnasiast replied to BJB's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
Hello BJB,This bug has been reported ( https://github.com/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2/issues/1630 ). It should be solved before the 0.0.3 release. There is no timescale for it, however. -
You mean 'Lucky Lake'. (Leaky Lake was an empty RCT1 scenario.)

You don't provide much information on what you have tried. Judging from you mentioning the .NET Framework v4.5 I'll assume you mean the launcher. I talked about it to the programmer of the launcher (PFCKrutonium) who explained the launcher uses .NET 4.5 functionality like the ZipFile class and a few other things. This would mean a lot of work would be required to support Windows XP.Of course, the builds don't require .NET 4.5. There are three different build servers. I know that the builds from openrct2.com and openrct.net don't work on XP. I don't know about the Ursalabs builds, but I doubt they work on XP.This leaves one possibility and that is compiling the code yourself. You will need to make some changes to the build scripts. What those changes are is unknown, you would have to figure that out yourself, I'm afraid.Generally, supporting XP in the builds would require extensive changes to the build scripts, which, to be brutally honest, isn't really worth the effort. XP is 13.5 years old and it shows. If it's a possibility, I would strongly advise you to upgrade. Windows Vista and newer versions of Windows should work, as well as OS X and Linux (using Wine).

Yes, it was correctly submitted. Thank you. The updated translation will be in tomorrow's builds. If you have more improvements, don't hesitate to submit them!

Swedish is not maintained and was directly extracted from RCT2. However, since OpenRCT2 is open source you can, help us improve it. In fact, we would prefer if you did so.To do this:Go to https://github.com/OpenRCT2/Localisation/blob/master/data/language/swedish.txt , click the pencil icon, make your changes and create a so-called 'pull request'.

Don't expect working multiplayer anytime soon. It hinges on full decompilation of RCT2. It is in the plans, though.
-
It has always been the plan to give the users the option to use either original or free (libre) graphics and sounds, just like one can still use the original graphics, sounds and music in OpenTTD. But obviously, the user needs to own RCT2 (and ideally RCT1) to use the original ones, while free ones can be freely distributed.

A contributor already did some effort to provide a translation for Brazilian Portuguese, but stuck at 55% and has been inactive for three months. I have put his translation here: https://github.com/OpenRCT2/Localisation/blob/master/data/language/portuguese_br.txtYou can click the pencil icon to make changes to the translation, and when you're done, submit a pull request so the changes can be merged into OpenRCT2.He marked some strings with a * to indicate they should be checked. Also, a lot of things have changed in the language file. This is the file yours should be based on: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/IntelOrca/OpenRCT2/develop/data/language/english_uk.txt (this one is always up to date)

Technically, it would be possible to create a new css1.dat file where the toilet sound is replaced with silence. There might be written a tool for this at some point, namely when we're working on a free sound effects set.

We have dark blue, and the news background colour could be left at black (as it is by default).
-
The title bar (and park rating bar) should be blue for that 'real' Windows 9x look, but nice idea anyway. :)
