  1. The update Rune was talking about was merged an hour after he posted. So if you update OpenRCT2 now it should work.As for the cause: OpenRCT2 recently added the capability to translate strings in .DAT files. There was a memory problem in that code however, and Dutch is the only language that extensively uses the new translation capabilities. So it wasn't an error in the Dutch translation, but an error in the new translation capabilities. However, it should be fixed now. Please try it again and report the results.EDIT: Wait, the forum clock is two hours behind. Anyway, try updating to the latest versions and see if it helps.
  2. I'm not having any problems with the Dutch localisation. (Using Ubuntu 14.04 and Wine.)
  3. You're mistaking mediocre English for passive-aggressiveness, AmethyCyan.
  4. You'll get used to Git, and if it's needed, you can always ask for help on the Gitter chat: https://gitter.im/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2Having C and C++ experience is a lot more important, and we can use extra programmers well - there are plenty of bugs to fix.
  5. Calling people who have played all three games veterans is a very inflationary use of the term. It's not unique, to say the least.
  6. It has been possible in RCT2 (and therefore OpenRCT2) for about 10 years. Look up a program called 'Object Editor', version 1.20 or 1.23.
  7. Please put a bit more effort into your posts, they are hard to read and make sense of at times.Don't expect multiple types of park entrance in one game to be implemented soon, if at all. It might be a possibility when we switch to our own formats, but that will take a lot of time still.Regarding conversion of existing .DAT files: when OpenRCT2 switches to its own formats, it will either retain the capability to read old .DAT files or include a conversion tool.
  8. Unless specifically granted permission to do so, distributing them on our store or with the game is illegal.
  9. A (technical) changelog is here: https://openrct2.com/changesThere is also a more accessible changelog, but it usually only gets updated properly near a release. To answer your second question: https://github.com/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2/wiki/Increasing-of-game-limits
  10. Thanks. I have seen this behaviour in vanilla RCT2 as well, including allowing two trains in the same block (causing crashes!).
  11. You mean invisible. And it has been in the game for weeks (develop, that is, not in stable).
  12. This problem has been reported by other users as well. You can follow its status here: https://github.com/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2/issues/1841When it's marked as closed, the Launcher should spew out a fixed build very soon.

    News ticker

Imlegos, your edit has an aggressive tone, please stay civil.Making the background of the news ticker pitch black rather than dark(ish) grey might be possible, though I haven't actually checked the code. It would be preferable to add this to the Themes options as well.As for the edge drawing: that seems to be down to how RCT2 draws its windows. If you compare RCT1 and RCT2 you will see that RCT1 windows have clearly visible edges while RCT2's haven't.
  14. Yes, but if you want to do it in a cleaner way, you can just use 8 cars per trainer in RCT2.OpenRCT2 has a cheat to disable support limits built-in. You have to enable the Cheats button in the toolbar to access it though.
  15. (1) Cannot reproduce. Could you give more information, like the actual track type, and a screenshot if that helps?Actually, I can. I'll look into it.(2) Thanks, I'm going to fix or report it.(3) We're aware of that. It is the reason why the intro is disabled by default. It hasn't been working properly since the inception of the project, really. It can't handle resizes of the window very well either.
  16. Merging is a hacky process and requires intermediate to advanced knowledge about the game. It's most often done with the unmodified RCT2 and 8 cars per trainer. It's not something you usually start with when you enter the (wonderful) world of RCT(2) hacking.Currently there are some issues with ghost pieces being created when doing merging in OpenRCT2. OpenRCT2 might gain a bit better support for merging if I get the time, though there are plenty of things with higher priorities on my list. Two things are already here: OpenRCT2 doesn't set the reliability of hacked rides to 0% (anti-cheat code in RCT2) and has built-in support for zero clearance: it's in the Cheats button dropdown. (If you don't see a Cheats button on your top toolbar, you have to enable it in the settings.)
  17. Welcome!People who are bothered by bronies must lead terrible lives... :P
  18. [Ik bepaal zelf wel hoe ik je noem... :P]Anyway, welcome. Rune already pointed to the dev chat. There are plenty of bugs to work on, and we can always use extra developers, particularly now both the main devs (IntelOrca and Duncanspumpkin) are busy with other things and a lot less active. I'm the third developer in terms of commits, but I'm still busy getting anywhere near their level.
  19. Be warned: multiplayer is currently too buggy for another other than testing and bughunting. We are still working on it.
  20. Having a scenario selection window that is sorted by origin (RCT1, RCT1 AA, RCT1 LL, RCT2, RCT2 WW, RCT2 TT, Real, Custom, etc.) is in the plans. Having some scenarios of our own is also something that would be nice to have eventually.
  21. It doesn't, have you tried clicking it yourself? It will open an image of exactly the same size as your thumbnail. As for a problem in the deployment of the app: possibly. PFCKrutonium (one of the admins here) made the launcher BTW, he should know more about it. (I'm a OpenRCT2 dev, the launcher is not under my control.)
  22. 15 seems to be the limit, you will get hardly anyone (if anyone at all) to ride your roller coaster if you go beyond that. In most scenarios between rides with an intensity rating between 13 and 15 will also attract far fewer guests. Here is a tip: every guest has a preferred ride intensity. You can see it on the second tab of a guest's window. For example, if a guest has a preferred ride intensity of between 2 and 8, he will only queue for rides with according intensity ratings, so he won't queue for gentle rides and the more intense roller coasters.
  23. No, they don't. Clicking the thumbnails will yield an image exactly the same size as your thumbnail.
  24. That screenshot is way too small to see anything.Anyway, it sounds like you haven't extracted the language files properly. These should go in Data/Language.
  25. Cannot reproduce this. Are you running the latest build?
