YoloSweggLord
@ImABoss I actually really like the landscaping youve done so far. Especially the lake, it looks like a nice place to build a water ride or 2 (definitely want to put a water coaster there lol) 2 Link to comment
imlegos
@YoloSweggLord Why are you suddenly upssed with water coasters? Link to comment
YoloSweggLord
Its a phase, thats just how I build things. Sometimes I really start enjoying a specific coaster type. Like right now I really enjoy building B&M hypers, and before that it was B&M stand ups, and before that it was Arrow traveling coasters, and before that it was switchbacks, and before that... YoloSweggLord
Didn't do much this turn. Smoothed out the base of the mountain around the path in the top corner, painted the river from the lake with dark sand, a bit of terra painting here and there, and fixed the paths from not connecting to the invisible tiles at the aforementioned path: Before: After: Claimed: - Queue: - Missed: - The OpenRCT Group Park 4.sc6 1 Link to comment
Broxzier
I'm a bit worried that the river crossing the park makes it more difficult to build on the easy area for everyone. Link to comment

I vote for deleting the river from the lake, but keeping the lake itself and the mountain river. Link to comment
YoloSweggLord
I honestly don't see a problem with the river from the lake, but if i'm in the minority here then I guess it'll have to be deleted... Link to comment

What if, instead of deleting the river, we move it. My thought is, if we move it to the outer edge, it would provide an edge to the park/map without just fence and trees. Plus I think it'd look nice. Also, if noone else has claimed it, I'd like to claim it next and do the new river, if everyone would like to try the idea out. Also, that swamp looks fantastic. Broxzier
I don't think anyone has claimed it yet. What about this? If we're going for Redscope's idea, I think it'll be nice to have the lake one or two tiles higher, to have a flow going, and maybe making it bigger too, and clipped off by the map. Wuis
The problem solely lies on that the river looks weird with how it seperates into two rivers. However, placing the lake near the mountain does not fix so. (unless this is a human made contraption >:C ) The lake does remind me of a certain type of lake though, which doesn't require a river to stream up to it, an oasis. Through making the lake an oasis we can it how it is without having a river stream up to it visibly. Also, don't be sad Broxzier. 1 Link to comment
HookerHeels
The problem with having the lake higher, means the river would have to be higher. The swamp would be lower, and with flowing water that close, a swamp wouldn't form. Link to comment
HookerHeels
Below is the new river, and I did some landscaping around the swamp: Bushes, trees, cattails, etc. The river is just a rough idea, if noone likes it, thats fine, just a suggestion. It could also be tweaked a but more if someone has an idea. Also, may I suggest, since the park is only 148x148, we lower the space per turn from 800 tiles to say, 450 or something? The larger area is 15x50, as in the first post. Now, most people won't A, Use that much space every turn, and B, aren't always going to make a square, but you get the point. 800 tiles is a fair amount. The smaller area is 16x27, or, 432 tiles. Right. I'm finished for now, someone else can put their ideas in. I made a couple bridge, trees and of course a river. HookerHeels
Right. Basically just added trees and added some depth to the riverside. The OpenRCT2 Group Park Alpha2.sc6 1 Link to comment

Broxzier
It looks a bit off, but perhaps we can make it look more like an arbitrary lake by building some kind of dam around it. Eventually the attractions will pull the park together more anyway. Link to comment
