Next time you try to suggest a new feature, please do a little bit of research first, okay?
-
Back in the days of Windows NT that might have made sense, but version numbers are typically not saved anywhere other than in text. The only time you want to store a version number somewhere that I can think of is for centralized version control systems (SVN, Perforce), and these use just one number for their version, starting from 1. Assuming this number is a 32-bit integer, you would still have 2147483647 (2^31-1) versions before you run out.
-
Don't split the numbers then. When a 9-year old has its birthday, it doesn't go back to 1, does it? As I said before, there are many different ways of versioning. The way you think it works is overcomplicated and rarely used at all, because that system immediately adds a limitation. What if it takes more than 100 changes to finish a feature? Then after the 100th commit, you can't continue. Moving on to 2.0 doesn't make sense, because then it's still in an unfinished state. Just think of it as: This is the 5th group park, and currently we're at version 20 of this park.
-
Last time I checked 2 is not the same as 20.
-
No... I'm saying the same thing I said before, here: After which I explained in more detail how it works.
-
5.20 is correct though, 5.2 is not. It's not one decimal, they are two numbers. Simply increase the latter.

First of all: Welcome! I like the houses, they look nice. A few remarks though: since one of the houses is halfway over the water, it would make sense to add supports underneath, and I find the placement of the water lilies a bit too much. Try keeping them near the edges of the water, and in groups, and mix them with some other water plants. If you are interested in building parks with this community, you can join our group park, where everyone takes turns to build on the same park. @cascadia There's a fast-forward button in the top toolbar.

Yes, by copying the element, then pasting it on other tiles. It's save to copy them because when demolishing it, the game will iterate over the entire map to search for all track elements that belong to the ride, and as long as they are nearby it shouldn't cause guests to get lost either. That's why I copied over the first restroom during my first turn. This way you can place multiple of the same stalls all over the park while only using up one ride slot.

Nope, only 1 Same for those ride parts, they are from the actual rides.

A few additions, mainly in the area in the screenshot below: The old big hall has moved some track pieces outdoor, perhaps temporarily, time will tell. The track pieces should not be affected by the rain in any way, they are just reserve parts for rides within the park. The intern-communication center: This white house is where the small logistics world of the staff-only area is managed. During winter when the park is closed, this is usually a very busy point. The two brown and grey buildings are mainly used for storage. The brown one for small things such as electronics, and the grey one for larger packages such as kits for new benches and lamps. A path between the different buildings has been built, so that employees can safely get from one place to the other, without risking their lives on the busy road. If time is an issue, just ask beforehand and wait for approval. The OpenRCT2 Group Park 5.17.sv6

@giraty You just went before Wuis, Foxy, and SpiffyJack, which is not very nice. If everyone could just take a turn when they have an idea this would turn into a chaos... I'm going to work on the previous version, and put you back in the list. We can keep the area reserved for you so you can redo it when it's your turn. @Jochem If you want you can claim it now and go before me, I haven't built anything yet.

Claiming! Won't it be dangerous to have dolphins in the same lake as where planes will be landing soon?

@Foxy Don't worry, I'm not offended, I'm just wondering what makes you think I won't agree with someone and why I would not like your stuff. The way the group park versioning have been picked hasn't changed since the first park. In general I don't want to set too many rules, so that everyone has enough freedom. When there is something that's not clear, I'll try to make it so, and obviously things can change based on everyone's feedback. You were confused, which means something wasn't clear, but I hope it's clear now. If not, then I can provide some examples of how it should be. Btw: I live a 15 minutes ride from the German border, and I know some that are very easily offended.

It would be 5.15a, but b is good too. The letter is just to indicate that nothing big has been created since 5.14, but that it's a fixed version of 5.15. Did I ever offend you?
-
How would that work...?
-
I don't think this should be changed. The moment you disconnect, a red chat message is added already. This should indicate that something bad has happened already.

ORCT2 failed to actually save file. It's a mystery
Broxzier replied to SpiffyJack's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
Did it crash while saving? In that case the file might be deleted and then while trying to save it failed. Autosaves should not be affected. -
Not sure if it's the case, but this part looks different on the screenshot:

Rough Lag When Placing a New Track
Broxzier replied to SleetFire's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
Which is exactly what we're aiming to do since 0.0.6 If you don't want to risk corrupting your saves (worst case), I suggest to keep using the stable builds. -
You can alter the list so that you are the next one in the queue.

Rough Lag When Placing a New Track
Broxzier replied to SleetFire's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
@SleetFire Are you still experiencing this bug with recent builds? -
I just spoke with UTMAN, he doesn't have time to work on it now, so @SpiffyJack having done some work on the current version before him isn't really an issue. (Only saw this edit just now) Please don't take it as offense, I was just saying. In case you change things up on your server, all links you've posted here will be broken, while for files attached to a message here on the forums will keep working, even after an update.
