GingerAdonis Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 These new forums have some minor quirks in terms of coloring and other stuff. Please report them here! Include your OS + Browser, and when needed instructions to reproduce the problem. 1
Krutonium Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 (edited) On https://openrct2.com/forums/profile/3-krutonium/ These colors are kinda... Well it doesn't work very well. Edited November 22, 2015 by Krutonium 1
Krutonium Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 (edited) Hovering over the Activity Button (or any other dropdown that is blue) and hovering over an option makes the option almost invisible due to the shades of Blue. Edited November 22, 2015 by Krutonium
Gymnasiast Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 OpenRCT2.com and OpenRCT.net currently have three different menus between them: - These forum's - Those from the other parts of OpenRCT2.com - Those on OpenRCT.net Considering the integration process is still underway, this might be solved with it. 1
Gymnasiast Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Clicking a timestamp in the recent posts column will give one an error message.
Broxzier Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Hovering over a link in the menu makes the text invisible.
GingerAdonis Posted November 23, 2015 Author Posted November 23, 2015 All mentioned problems should've been fixed by now. @Gymnasiast I can't reproduce your bug. Where should I be looking at?
Broxzier Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 @janisozaur Clicking the timestamps seems to work now. It was under the 'Posts' section on the forum's front page. Another bug I noticed it when you select text it's unreadable.

Gymnasiast Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 (edited) Some points still: Why is this topic listed under Small talk and not under Feedback? I'd say that is the proper category. Is the forums software capable of handling multiple languages? If so, would it be possible to give users the option of using the forums software in Dutch? There is quite a big chunk of the user group from The Netherlands and posting everything in English is already hard enough for some people. Edited November 25, 2015 by Gymnasiast
Gymnasiast Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Ugh, why can't I edit my posts after a few minutes? That forces me to double post. Please change that as well. Anyway, what I wanted to suggest is making the forum resemble (Open)RCT2 more in terms of appearance. In a similar way to what OpenRCT.net and tt-forums.net do.
SnowMew Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Yeah, I'm with Gymnasiast with post editing, it's a little inconvinient. Also mousing over and seeing the blue and forum rank colours is a bit of a clash, maybe change the default cover image to be a different colour perhaps? Is it linked to a forum theme colour scheme or is it just a standard placeholder and can be swapped out? Or are neither of these possible and the only fix is to change it yourselves?
Broxzier Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 https://openrct2.org/forums/discover/unread/ Clicking the links to the forum post links to the first page, instead of the unread post (like on the frontpage).

There is quite a big chunk of the user group from The Netherlands and posting everything in English is already hard enough for some people. Using multiple languages is a bit risky. The translations are provided by volunteers and might be outdated or will be outdated with the next forums update. Although I am interested in trying out 'Local forums'. So there would be a Dutch forum, German forum. etc. Thoughts on that? This topic is not under Feedback because the feedback forum is for OpenRCT2 only. Not this community. Will look into the other feedback asap.
Broxzier Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 (edited) When posting a response, the button that says "Submit Reply" will say "Saving...", and will keep saying that after the post has been added already. This prevents you from responding to a new reply, and forces you to reload the page first. (Edit: Only tested on Firefox by the way) Edited November 28, 2015 by Broxzier
RuneLaenen Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 test Edit: nope, you're right. Also happens on Chrome
danidoedel Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Hey guys! On my mobile the "Posts" section is covering the lower part of the forum... Hope you guys can fix that
jensj12 Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Some issues regarding posting replies. I sometimes can't use my left/right arrow keys to fix any mistakes. Happens after viewing an image. Hitting <enter> moves the entire page down (but it should not because the focus is on an input field). The 'Hold ctrl and right click for more options' tooltip is often highly irritating as it won't go away until I click somewhere or move my mouse outside the input box (especially when I must use the mouse to fix typos). Simply using ctrl+v gives the same options as ctrl+rightclick.
GingerAdonis Posted December 20, 2015 Author Posted December 20, 2015 Posts can be properly edited now. 2
jensj12 Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 (edited) I tried to edit my compact coasters park topic (because the layout is horribly broken now) but when I click edit it gives me another message to edit (url still points to my topic, but the message I'm editing starts with 'welcome to our new forums', probably the first new topic after the site change). For now it means I can't edit that post (if I did I might edit that other post). Edit: broxzier tested it, and it indeed edits a different post Edited January 15, 2016 by jensj12
