Now I'm getting these warnings when opening OpenRCT2 - not even the park. I think I'll remove all custom content from my folder again.View imageI'm sorry that your changes didn't work out Erik, at least we've learned from it. Next time please try to not use any custom rides.@jensj: Good luck! :) Please name your file 'Community Park V2.3' when you're done.

Submit title sequence parks for 0.0.3 (stable)
Broxzier replied to RuneLaenen's topic in News and Announcements
They need the actual saved game file, not a screenshot, since it will be featured in the actual game. -
With these files in the ObjData folder I can open it now, though whenever I open the scenery tab it crashes. I really like the path with the rails, haven't seen that one before. If everyone needs to go through these issues to get it running I don't think this community park will work out.

Submit title sequence parks for 0.0.3 (stable)
Broxzier replied to RuneLaenen's topic in News and Announcements
Don't post it yet, UTMAN and me are fixing things up at the moment. I asked IntelOrca if the group park could be added, and it was just fine. He's also looking for someone to make the title sequence. -
Seems like the objects didn't get exported in the first save. That one was only 0.9MB and this one is 3.7MB. :)I'm trying to download the mediafire link now, but I'm using my trains wifi which is really slow. From the park (which I downloaded before I left) I only get the following two missing objects:AE-WSLIDSQGTRAINFrom the names I assume these are the waterslide and the train ride.Edit: The download finished, I placed them in my ObjData folder, and these two rides still failed to load. I tried in both vanilla RCT2 and Open RCT2.Perhaps it's better if we just don't use custom rides at all, and stick with custom scenery, since these get added automatically if exported correctly.

Seems like in the last save the ObjData didn't get exported. That file was only ~0.9MB and this one is 3.77MB. I can't download the rar at the moment (I'm on a train's wifi), but from the park I only need these two objects now:AE-WSLIDSQGTRAINFrom the names I understand that these are rides.

The original game allowed to include objdata in the saved games already, it's not a new feature. There are only a few things that can't be included, and I think these are the rides, however I'm also getting errors for the scenery packs that Erik included.LMPBBLC <- Liampie's Building BlocksPIRAT2 <- Pirate theme from EA (guess)These should have no issues loading at all.

Managed to get the names printed and copied them. Here's the list of items that cannot be loaded:SLDBODYAE-WSLIDSQGTRAINXXBBCB01XXBBCC01XXBBCC04XXBBMC02XXBQCB22XXBQCB26ARBASE4XXBQMS19XXBQCC11XXBQMC10LMPFQB01LMPFQB02XXBBQM07XXBBQM08XXBQMS13XXBQMS10ULTINAR1AE-JCSKPAE-PCACTAE-PCBD1AE-PCBD2AE-PCBIGAE-PCMAYAE-PCMYWAE-PCGLDAE-PCPIPAE-PCFLKAE-PCRD3AE-PCREDAE-PCCAPAE-PCSK8AE-PCSK4AE-PCSK5AE-PCSK7AE-PCSK2AE-PCSK6AE-PCSK3AE-PCWC1AE-PCWC2AE-PCWC3AE-PCWSBAE-PCW4SPFLAG2ARGO05ARGO36ARGO39XXARCS15MTPRSHIPAE-PCSK1AE-PCAUCPRSHIPBGMTSMSKULT2-CEMET2-PARCGT2-PGALT2-PGAL2T2-SKCVPATHRRPIRAT2LMPBBLCKCould you make sure you have the "export plug-in objects" option enabled and try saving it again?
-
Upon loading there are many errors about not having the CS installed. Are you 100% sure you enabled the "Export-plugin objects" option before saving the park?I'm trying to get a list of all the objects now, though the game crashes as soon as I try to log them to a file.Edit:From the missing file names I can see that the AE rides, pirate theme and Liampie's building blocks cannot be loaded.

I remember something about some scenery/rides that can't be exported in a saved game, and need to be put there manually. What error are getting upon loading? You can try uploading it for now and I'll take a look at it.
-
Alright, can't wait to see it! You have enough time to finish things up, it's not that strict really, more like guidelines (argh!).To upload it to CoasterCloud simply open the launcher, click Extras, then click Sign into OpenRCT.net (if you haven't done so already), and then click Sync Saves. It will open another window, simply click Sync and it will automatically upload the saved game files in your OpenRCT2/save folder to CoasterCloud. After that go to this website, click on the CC link at the top, find the park and click on it, then click Share, and copy that link here.

https://www.reddit.com/r/rct/comments/3sb0ct/openrct2_submit_title_sequence_parks_for_003/We can try to get this park in V0.0.3!Edit: I'll go check if everything is fine now, but I do not have a Reddit account. If anyone can post it there, that would be nice! :)

How is the park getting along, Erik? And do you know how to upload it here and share it for the next person?
-
1) Definitely needed, I've wanted a feature like this for a long time.2) You can already do this. First enable debugging tools (http://i.imgur.com/Sxu8peB.png), then you can select anything just like you would in the scenario options by here: http://i.imgur.com/Tv8hvdh.png.Limitations will be removed once the game is independent of any original code, and has its own saved game format.

Trying to run OpenRCT on Wine gives me an error
Broxzier replied to macguy67's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
Just looked it up, and there's no native support for Linux yet. You can play is using Wine though, check this: https://openrct2.com/wine-infoYou'll have to manually update now and then to get the latest features. -

I assume you're running the launcher on Linux. Wine is a something to run Windows programs on Linux, right? I don't know much about Linux (only had to use it a few times), but you probably don't need it, because OpenRCT2 can be build on Linux too. I don't know if there's a program like the launcher that checks for updates though. -
is it possible to make certain track a lift?I'm not sure about this one. I think that when you save the track and then build it again it won't work. If it's possible then it's probably easier to enable the lift icon while building the track at any time.beyond 90 degree dropsThis would require more sprites, and also breaks compatibility with the original rct2. This will be a lot of work to make, but is possible when the game is not dependent on rct2.exe anymore. Probably gets a low priority though.I don't really get what you mean with the ideas after this.
-
I noticed a while ago already, and have no idea why it's not working. Whenever I play using the launcher I expect the playtime to be uploaded to the server, but it doesn't. In the launcher I logged into this account and accepted that it should track time played.Any idea why it's not updating?

Can't figure out how to set this up.
Broxzier replied to Funkyourdauter's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
Yes. But it should have set it automatically right when you installed it. -

Broxzier replied to Funkyourdauter's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
It should. Can you check task manager and see if openrct2.exe is in there when you press launch? -
You can assign something else to T, and then reassign it back. I don't know it it's a bug, I was also quite surprised when I noticed all interfaces gone the first time, but you probably pressed T by accident. It hasn't happened again since I know about this feature.

Do you have rct2 installed and opened before using the launcher? -
Press T.

0/10 There are no cars in Merry-Go-Round.Jokes aside, looking forward to how it will look in the end. :)

UTMAN named the file wrong, it should have been V2.2, not V21, but that was because dots in the filename broke the way they were displayed yesterday. That got fixed now.As for the debugging option (and also the option to export ObjData in the saved game), open the launcher and click Options. Then in the miscellaneous tab enable the two options on the left:View imageWhat you opened is the in-game console, which has only a few functions. After that launch the game, and open the object selection:View image
