It does look funky when you do not clear the screen properly though

Just double close the ride to reset the friction. 'rides' is not a variables but a functions, meaning there's some logic behind them, not just a value. 'rides set friction' is part of that function, which does set a certain value based on your input. The only other function that behaves similar to the rides function is the ones for staff: https://github.com/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2/blob/develop/src/interface/console.c#L444-L544 The possible commands are: rides set type friction staff set energy Yes, that wouldn't even be hard to make.

Guests go from extremely happy to extremely mad after a ride
Broxzier replied to TCE's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
And it's not related to their happiness calculations. I doubt anyone will every 'fix' this issue either, at least not until the AI system will be rewritten. -
These are the lines of code that set the game variables from the in-game console: https://github.com/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2/blob/develop/src/interface/console.c#L546-L863 For better readability I've extracted the strings into a list: park_rating money scenario_initial_cash current_loan max_loan guest_initial_cash guest_initial_happiness guest_initial_hunger guest_initial_thirst guest_prefer_less_intense_rides guest_prefer_more_intense_rides forbid_marketing_campagns forbid_landscape_changes forbid_tree_removal forbid_high_construction pay_for_rides no_money difficult_park_rating difficult_guest_generation park_open land_rights_cost construction_rights_cost climate game_speed console_small_font test_unfinished_tracks no_test_crashes location window_scale window_limit render_weather_effects render_weather_gloom It looks like they only accept numbers (either integers and decimal), except for climate, which can take either an integer or a string that's one of: cool_and_wet, warm, hot_and_dry, or cold.

The junior coaster is clipping with the path and with the wall, please do not disable clearance checks for such things.
-
That's odd, it looks like the cars are not placed correctly. I just compared it with vanilla RCT2, and there the cars are going around the corner.
-
Probably, yeah. That will be a lot of work, and most likely not what you want anyway.

This bug has been fixed months ago, thanks to the Park provided here. Are you experiencing a similar issue with the latest builds?

The monorail could do with one more station.

Flying Roller Coaster Station bug
Broxzier replied to Lamborghini2670's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
Not all bugs are part of the project, and this subforum is for problems and feedback too. -
I just took a good look at the zips you uploaded, both are called ObjData, so I assume bot of them aren't from the OpenRCT2 folder? However, the zip_2.zip is packed with non-ObjData files. It contains parks, zip files, saved tracks, text files, and even some files from OpenRCT2. One of the folders actually contains itself again (zip_2.zip/ObjData/imlegos' Terrain Block Set V3/imlegos' Terrain Block Set V3). I copied everything to the OpenRCT2/objects folder, but an not experiencing any crashes when using and closing the object selection.
-
Thanks for the objdata folders, I'll add them to my objdata filders and see if the game also crashes for me. Which of the files is the one you made, so @X7123M3-256 can inspect it?

The last turn before entering the station seems a bit weird to me, I don't know any coasters that do something like this. About the other turn, I think Wuis means one that's going up? Or perhaps have it go into the air, then flatten it, and build the corner there.
-
Definitely! I suggest making it a gently mine train coaster, like the one in Disney Land Paris. Still exciting, but allows the guests to look around nicely.

During my turn I mostly worked on the boardwalk, as it felt really empty to me. The only new attraction added is the spiral slide, which I didn't give a name yet. I've added two new handyman, and changed the patrol routes of existing handyman somewhat, after which the park rating started raising again. Started working on it yesterday evening, finishing it as we speak.

Thanks for the report, but bugs and crashes should be reported on the issue tracker on GitHub, there's a link for it in this very same subforum: https://openrct2.org/forums/forum/2-problems-bugs-and-feedback/ (Issue Tracker link). It looks like your bug has not been reported yet, so you can make one about it. Make sure to include the dump file, and in this case also the saved game, because it might be related.

Welcome newbie! If you want your idea to be in the game, you can create an issue talk about it in the Gitter chat, and create a feature-request issue on GitHub. Make sure to check if your idea has not already been suggested first.

Can you try saving it with just the frames 0 to 15, so nothing in the slots 16 and later? There are three locations where ObjData can get saved: RCT2 Install Directory/ObjData %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\RCT2 Install Directory\ObjData (Browse to find yours, mine is Program Files (x86)\Infogrames\RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 OpenRCT2 folder\object You can zip them all together and simply drag them here to upload it.
-
Removing some CSO might work, but make sure to make a backup. Also please let us know if that solves it. Can you also send send us your entire ObjData folder so that we can reproduce that bug? I haven't used Object Maker in a long time, does it start counting from 0? If so, use frame 0-15, not 1-16.
-
What are you using to make those objects? If you're sure you're making the object correctly, file an issue about it on github, and include the object for people to investigate. I assume you mean the object selection, not the cheat menu? This crash only happens to a few people, so it's probably something to do with the amount of custom objects and the likes.
-
I've thought about this too. Making the locate button open a dropdown menu with a second option to move along with the viewport will do.

Me and my friend cannot connect to each overs games.

If opening ports and forwarding does not work, you can also use Hamachi. -
Owwie, so Meltdown is not safe? 6 people in the train, I guess they were all sitting in the front or back when this happened. Claiming the park now, will work on it tomorrow.
