  1. The mechanic called right above the ride is exactly 8-junction away, but I need to add more than 2 junctions to trigger the issue. At least this park clearly shows that height is ignored in distance calculations/estimations.
  2. Known issue and frequently requested feature. There have been experiments with adding transport rides to the pathfinding but it is difficult. How far away is the exit in terms of junctions? If it's more than ~8 junctions (stalls next to the path included) it won't find the path and simply go as close as it can get, hoping for a short enough path to show up when it gets there. (I know I'm talking about mechanics as if they're robots) It could also indicate that there's another issue with the path to the exit. Check whether it's properly connected. A save and/or screenshot would greatly help. (note to self: check whether height is considered during pathfinding, it is ignored when picking the nearest entrance of a ride) I don't know about the underground penalty, I only know that excessive positive Gs have nothing to do with it.
  3. OpenRCT2 pulls them from the track(s) folders inside the /documents/OpenRCT2 folder, the RCT2 installation folder and the RCT1 installation folder (if linked). If you have debugging tools enabled and/or go to the track design manager, you can see the exact path to the track design in-game.
  4. There have been some minor changes/fixes, but nothing game-changing. Most noteworthy might be a slight buff to the heartline coaster ratings to be more on-par with other bad coasters.
  5. This is due to track designs not being able to handle the RCT1 style footpath building yet. It therefore doesn't save the railings yet.
  6. I usually only comment on issues I know something about, which happens to be not the case on this one. I'm not a developer of OpenRCT2, just joined quite early and checking the forums (and github) regularly.
  7. This is usually caused by a mixed install. Uninstall OpenRCT2 (don't delete your saves/tracks/etc!) and install it again. In particular, make sure the official OpenRCT2 object files for the original objects are from the same version as the build you are using, these can be found in [installation folder]/bin/data/object/.
  8. This issue has been fixed (or rather, the update that caused the issue reverted), please update your game and it should be fine.
  9. As long as you also have a RCT2 installation linked, you can also link RCT:D and play the RCT1 scenario's in OpenRCT2 (as close as RCT1 can be simulated in OpenRCT2, which is already much better than what RCT2/Classic can achieve).
  10. Do you mean you changed the title sequence and that keeps it crashing? In in your .../Documents/OpenRCT2/ folder you can find a file named "config.ini". Either manually edit the "current_title_sequence" field using a text editor or delete/rename the file altogether to reset it (though it might reset to the OpenRCT2 title sequence). If you need to reinstall OpenRCT2, don't delete your documents folder (which contains your user data like saves). Just uninstall and then install OpenRCT2 and your saved data should be intact.
  11. The Infogrames Interactive folder (depending on how you got RCT2) is not used by OpenRCT2 (and would cause problems if it did). It merely imported your RCT2 data from there. There is already a way to specify which folder to use, see #2196. Launch OpenRCT2 with the --user-data-path command line argument, but it might need some experimenting. For older discussions, see #10042 #5348
  12. You already reported this issue two days ago. If there's anything to add to it, please report in that topic. If you don't like bugs and would prefer stable builds, switch to the release version.
  13. The issue has already been reported to GitHub, see: #18007 (and appears to be 'just another issue' in the recent chaos with some non-standard rides) Anyways, thanks for the report. For the future, please try to keep your videos to only the issue (even only a screenshot would suffice in this case), see the linked GH issue for a good example.
  14. For now, just use the 'enable all drawable track pieces' cheat. I'll report this issue on GitHub (see #17992).
  15. According to #17994, it should have been fixed since ce95b58, which is the version you're on. I'll file another report. Just a quick heads-up: you can build properly if you enable the cheat 'enable all drawable track pieces'.
  16. Go to options. In the first tab, select software (hardware display) as render method, and in the second tab enable day/night cycle, lighting effects and lighting effects for rides (in that order).
  17. You've only changed the drawing engine. To get lights and shadows, you need to enable day/night cycling and light effects in the second tab as well. Still those aren't the same (and require hardware rendering rather than OpenGL). The footage shown in the video never made it into the official codebase.
  18. The new track pieces are currently only in the develop version of OpenRCT2. They will be included in the 0.4.2 release version of the game (but you can switch to the develop branch).
  19. It might be worth stating your OS (I assume windows otherwise) and taking a screenshot or two of what you did and and what the selected RCT Deluxe folder looks like. I don't really have any ideas left of what could be causing your issues.
  20. How did you get RCT Deluxe? If from CD, make sure you have a full install rather than a minimal install.
  21. Your missing an object with the name bubgum1. It should even tell you what kind of object it is. If it's a custom object, try the download button at the bottom of the window. If that doesn't help, you'll need to find the object somewhere yourself. In case it's an official RCT2 object, reinstalling OpenRCT2 should do the trick.
  22. You need to put them in the track folder of OpenRCT2.
  23. IIRC, the game doesn't benefit much from more multi-threading. The drawing on already done on multiple threads and the game logic is single-threaded. Any improvements must then be made by splitting the game logic over multiple cores, which is a difficult task and I'm not sure if the increased overhead is worth the hassle.
  24. RCT Deluxe is RCT1, and OpenRCT2 requires RCT2 files to run. In the options menu of OpenRCT2 you can select your RCT1 (Deluxe) folder to add a few extras to OpenRCT2 (it may even have done that automatically). If you've done that, you should see the RCT1 scenario's in the new game window. OpenRCT2 aims to fully support RCT1 within the RCT2 engine, but not everything is exactly the same. You can even change the menu colors to the RCT1 theme (or anything custom if you'd like).
  25. Was there supposed to be an image attached to your post? You referenced one, but I don't see any images.
