Granted, but it is extremely unflattering.
I wish Gulpee would clone and make more copies of himself.

Since we are running out of space, here is a list of less obvious places available to build stuff, in an attempt to save more space (many of these are on the small side, so be warned, but some of them are bigger):
-By the restroom by Swinging Ship
-The space in front of Qin Dynasty, and also the space in between the tracks. Perfect for small flat rides, and can fit up to three small short-width coasters if you're good with the space.
-The wood behind Motoplex, Skid Row Mice, and the village
-The castle
-Behind Palaemon
-Next to Castly Crashers
-The wood around The Dark Forest has some space
-There's are some small spaces around Turbo Tunnel good for small buildings and flat rides
-The space between Sioux Falls and Tribal
-The space enclosed by paths in front of Sioux Falls
-The area around Mountain Splash has some spaces where you might fit some small flat rides and buildings in
-The empty space between Motion Raders and The Grand Tour
-The little space behind Motion Raders and Secret Garden
-The space between Bouillabaisse and Shooting Star
-The space between The Stallion and King Of Durango Mountain (needs to be leveled if you build here)
-The riverbank
-The forest and grass around Project KB
-Behind Sherbywood Maze
-Behind Monster Jam

For the custom scenario issue, the demo doesn't include the expansion packs, which most custom scenarios use, hence why you can't load them.

I had to look up Gulper... I'm assuming tyou mean the skylanders character? And what do you mean by "real mascot"?
No, he's talking about the dinosaur mascot in Planet Coaster, which he wants to see as a real mascot in a real theme park. Also, @Wuis , it's spelled Gulpee, not Gulper.

It has already been discussed in another topic: https://openrct2.org/forums/topic/1097-cheat-suggestions/
Instead modifying the rating by hand I'd rather change the calculations have them calculated 'correctly'.
Could you provide an example of ride ratings of which you think they should be changed?
Another reason is that people might be using a "filler" attraction covered by scenery to simulate an attraction not in the game- like a custom boat ride with surfboards with lots of water scenery to simulate a wave generator. Of course, the ratings for a boat ride don't fit what a wave simulator would get in RL, so a feature to adjust ratings would work very well to solve this problem.
-
I always assumed that it was spamming of rides by players that led to it. This isn’t my thread, but thanks anyway, @Broxzier and @YoloSweggLord !

You probably want to also put this on GitHub, as more devs are on there then here.
-
Granted, the other devs put you to work 24/7 on utterly pointless stuff involving OpenRCT2.
I wish that Microsoft and Yahoo would merge.

Does anyone have any copies of the latest version of these parks, since the links in their respective threads seem to not work for me?

I made the space red for that very exact reason.
Ah, good.

@Dan You probably already know this, but now is probably your best chance to claim before we all forget and accidentally build over the space for your ride.
-
Also, haven't tried this because I don't have access to a computer right now, but has anyone tried reverting back to an earlier version to get around the attraction issue?
-
If people want to add a coaster type that hasn't been built yet but is available in the park, I think that water coasters are available...

Indeed.
I only use the launcher, so its always updated. I'm sure its just my custom content breaking saves, as I have a LOT of custom content, and many duplicates that I should get around to removing.
Ah.

Yeah. I've tried making a map for Juli's server, and every time I spend an hour hand picking objects and paths, when saving, it works fine. Then the next time I go to load the landscape, it crashes. Done that 3 times now. I'm getting PO'd at ORCT2. Last time it decided to not show objects in my scenery window.
Thanks for the rep
You're welcome. Unfortunately, it's to be expected- this is an alpha version of a game, after all.
Have you updated the game using the launcher yet?
Also, report these bugs on GitHub- the devs can usually fix them within 72 hours.
-
You should also report this on the game's GitHub page (which you can find on the game's main page). That way, more devs will notice you sooner to help you quicker.
Where did you get the copy of your original RCT2 (as opposed to OpenRCT2) game? Did you get it from a CD, brought it from Steam, GOG, or another Internet site that you could download it from, or did you get a "free" copy via Torrent?
-
Also, giving @RedScope53 rep trying even through the game didn't like him.

Bugs found in the park:
A few paths don't have janitors. That is dragging down the park rating.
The new stalls by the movie screen aren't open.

I'm having issues with the park. I can't seem to save it now, and the zipline thing is messing up my ORCT2. I'll upload the new version as soon as I sort it out.
Revert back to 0.0.4 and remove the zipline to get the save to work, then go back to the latest version. For some reason, the zipline is really buggy...

You're looking in the wrong folder. You want to put the park files in the Saves Folder in the OpenRCT2 folder, NOT the original RCT2 folder. Then you want to open them from the OpenRCT2 menu, NOT directly from the Mac folder itself.
-
@Yimmy Just to let you know, you're on the missed list right now. That means you can claim the park at any time since you missed your turn, except when someone else has it claimed, like RedScope53 right now. Hoping to see you take a turn soon.

Oh, and I found a solution. Normally, I would just copy/paste everything every time a new build is updated. I decided copy a selection this time (no DAT files selected except the main one) and put it in my RCT2 and it worked. Yeah, there is a corrupted DAT file(s) somewhere in one of the folders within the newer builds (I better remind myself to not select everything to extract every time I update until I know the files are repaired).
Instead of manually installing every new update as you seem to be doing, have you tried using the launcher instead? It's a lot easier...
OpenRCT, just... Wow!
