    Claiming for another short turn.

  2. Add me to the missed turns list, please, since I don't know when I'll be on in advance until the end of September (so I can claim every once in a while if I have time).

Heyo everyone! I am new to the forum, but I have been a silent reader in the GP3 project since its beginnings. I would love to actually participate in this one of possible. But I also definitely don't want to put a dent into this kind of project, so I made 2 screenshots of 2 of my scenery + landscaping works I did when I started playing this game again a few months ago after years of break.

My scenery work is still a bit crude I think, atleast on the wodden coaster, but if you approve of it as enough to not make a park ugly, I would definitely like to take part. :)

There's no approval needed to take part in this park- you just need to sign up and add yourself to the queue following the rules.

oh no. I have the same problem. hopefully it's temporary?

Keys are generated automatically the first time you join a server with a new name.  If you lose the key, it can't be recovered.

Alright, I am very late to the party. I would love to join this, but, I need to know how it works.

Do we get a save file, build on that save, then save once more and return the file? Or is it just a big ole' server?

I probably have missed a lot, and it may be too full as is. So if I need to wait until GP4, I can.

You see if anyone else has claimed the park.  If not, claim the park.  Build up to a maximum of 30 x 30 tiles (doesn't have to be continuous).  Save and name and upload the files according to the rules.  Try not to build more then one ride or stall a turn because we're close to the limits, and try not to duplicate nearby stalls.  Feel free to add new ride types- we still have a distance to go before we hit the limits there, through.

The list of places to build:

-The space in front of Qin Dynasty, and also the space in between the tracks.  Perfect for small flat rides, and can also fit a pretty big coaster inside of the space there, with a decent queuing area, even with Wuis' second coaster there.

-The wood behind Motoplex, Skid Row Mice, and the village

-The wood around The Dark Forest has some space

    -The woods around Sioux Falls

-The space between Bouillabaisse and Shooting Star

-The space between and behind both The Stallion and King Of Durango Mountain ( another good place for a coaster with an underground station like Aquamarine)

    -Behind Sherbywood Maze

There are also other places around the park, but they are much smaller.

I will openly admit in my early days of aging multiplayer, I did exactly what was described in the initial post. Though in my defence it was only to get away with sorting out the less experienced builders when they botched paths or made incredibly unsightly scenery near one of my rides.

I don't continue that practice anymore of course, but if it was easy for someone as (mostly) honest and morally upstanding as me, it must be for those with nefarious intentions.

I agree that mods and admin should have access to lengthier lists of backlogged actions. My only concern is that if it's based on the current 'last action' feature we have, it would be too vague to decipher what happened. I mean could it not end up looking like:

Last action: Scenery, Scenery, Path, Build Ride, Scenery, Path, Remove Ride?

Whilst it could he possible to distinguish the culprit from this info it could still be a bit problematic if another user happened to also remove a ride and then continue on with other things. Then it's a case of do you as the host believe they players are truthful or know the whole story?

Perhaps if the list of actions had a timestamp on them to distinguish when they happened, it could clear up some of the confusion for those hosts willing to run a ship shape server.

That's my two pence on the matter anyway, I've rambled on enough for one night.

It should also tell you what ride was removed.

    • Hogwarts like castle*

    * = Does it have a name?

EDIT: Thief's Turn incredible popularity seems fixed for now for some reason.

    Yes, Sherbywood Castle, I believe.

It's because everyone went there when it was a new ride.  Peeps are attracted to all new rides.

Why not contact me direct about this?

I now do not allow builders to "delete" rides anymore, if you want them removed the admins have to do it, and yes they can be removed by the builder but it is much harder and they tend to get caught doing it.

Didn't have the time then, unfortunately.

Just to make you all aware,  I have returned alive and well. I had a quick jaunt around some Scandinavian parks (mainly to sample Wildfire, obviously) and have been locked away for medical purposes over the past week. I'll look at catching up to speed and claiming in the forthcoming days.

Yay, you're back!!! :D Make sure to tweak Turbulence since Wuis rebuilt it!

  10. Not right now or anytime soon, because the devs will have their hands full with OpenRCT2 for quite a few years.  If you have a group of friends that can code well and reverse engineer code, get on GitHub and start your own OpenRCT3 project so you don't have to wait. ;)

  11. The updated list of places to build:

-The space in front of Qin Dynasty, and also the space in between the tracks.  Perfect for small flat rides, and can also fit a pretty big coaster inside of the space there, with a decent queuing area.

-Behind Sherbywood Maze and Dangerous Flora

-The big hole (which you will probably have to fill in) in front of Turbo Tunnel

  12. Wanted to butt in and slightly tweak my "Skid Row Mice" coaster, as well as add an eating and shopping area to the medieval village near the castle  Also added a few paths and some scenery.

    The OpenRCT Group Park 3.75a.sv6

I currently have a 500+ft Elevator that takes 43 seconds to reach the top. This is causing problems as the lines are always full. I have added another to minimise the effect but it only helps a little bit.

Would it be possible to have an adjustable Elevator speed?

This would help a lot (especially with huge elevators like I have).

Have you posted this on GitHub?  A lot more devs are on there. :P;)

  14. Last night on the Man of Teal server, I saw someone deleting rides, and immediately building scenery afterwards to avoid people detecting him.  Although I pointed it out and drove him off, it would be nice for server hosts and mods to have access to a log of user actions, to monitor users when they're away.
