    • Personally i really like monorails above paths. Something we could do here is build monorails above the paths from the entrances to the center of the map. By only giving the monorails an entrance at the park entrance and only an exit at the center of the map, we could distribute peeps to the center of the map, and away from the park entrances. The empty trains could then return through a fully underground route and re-emerge back at the park entrance.
    • Maybe some chairlifts from the center of the map towards the cliffy areas, also mostly following paths so they don't get in the way of our coasters.
    • A miniature railroad probably doesn't work as well on such a hilly map (But i could be mistaken!).

    These are just ideas that i have, feel free to add / discuss / scold / dance / share your ideas :D It's a group effort after all.

    I was scrolling through past posts, and remembered this. It gave me an idea, and I still plan on implementing it, once the park is more... filled.

    ~Edit~ That building looks really good. I agree, I like the idea of theming areas, but not like we did in GP6 with zones and stuff, just a more, free flowing theme, kinda like how I made a similar style coaster near the wooden bridge skyride thingy.

    Great work, love the first pic.
    That was my sole purpose of adding the wide paths, makes stairs look a lot cleaner :D

    In fact, since expansion objects won't export, it's entirely possible to edit the park without having the object. You'd need to swap the object to open it, but you can then swap it back afterward because the file doesn't have to contain the actual object (I don't think ParkDat will do this though, you'd have to do it manually).

    That seems like an awful lot of work when $10 could fix it, and gain you a lot of new content.

    The path, as I think its fitting, I left it for someone to fix. As for the disconnected path at the exit, idk how that happened, as I didn't change anything up on that part of the path.

  8. I'm not very good at making coasters, despite having played the hell out of RCT2 as a kid, but I actually made one that looks alright, and the stats are alright too :D
    Its still a WIP, and I haven't named it yet, but I present to you, a prehistoric ride.

    I know I went a tad large on my ride, but I figured the little peninsula wouldn't house much but a ride or two anyways, so I just filled it in.

    I've also done quite a bit of prettying the park up, and finished a layout for the monorail. This, of course, can be changed, but I tried to think of themeparks and how monorails flows through the park/ride areas etc, and tried to get the same view. I also added a dozen or so (maybe a few more than a dozen) of custom content objects. I didn't use a large portion of them, I just have quite a large folder of CC, and thought maybe I had things others didn't know existed, and 'offered' them to everyone. These of course, can be turned off if no-one wants to use them. If I went a little overboard on things, I'm sorry, just revert what you don't like :P 

    • Cleaned up the entrance a little bit, and also, forgive me if everyone dislikes it and gets mad at me, changed the entrance to a more realistic one(from the Disneyland bench.) Again, just revert what you think is bad.
    • Added a bridge down the river.
    • Fenced the crap out of the park.
    • Added a lot of entertainers.

      I tried to make a diagonal path, but something went wrong and everyone got stuck... soooooo.. if anyone who knows how to make it work, feel free!

    They're confused because of the corners in this path. Sadly, this game has some pretty stupid AI, thus, we must make sacrifices, efficiency > aesthetics.

    Sorry to be brash, but we shouldn't cut out content because some people don't have something thats been around for over a decade and is cheap. Life isn't always fair.

    It would be better if you used imagination and tried to construct things from default RCT2 objects / or choosing custom objects from nedesigns.com benches....

    Dude, the games been out since 2002, you can pick up the DLC on Steam for $10 and GOG for $10. SURELY by now you can afford it.

    After the 14-inversion record set by the smiler, B&M decided to smash that record with a roller coaster with over a million inversions. Sadly, the game stops counting after 31 inversions so we still don't know how many it has. DESTROY ALL HUMANITY travels through several themed areas, like the big square of ice, the big square of green squares, the big square of red squares and and a big square of mud i guess?

     

    The cobra roll element. What is a coaster without a cobra roll, right? It's crap! Oh yeah, this is the big square of black and white squares themed area.

     

    Shortly after building this ride, the park was awarded with the safest park award. B&M's safety standard never disappoints.

    Sadly, DESTROY ALL HUMANITY creates quite a lot of noise, (The classic B&M roar, mixed with pleas for mercy, screams of agony and the sound of flying screws and bolts) so some existing attractions had to be boxed in.

    Now that we're running out of space, I think it's time we start thinking about starting group park 8.

     

     

     

    Jokes aside, here's my contribution:

     

    Illuminati confirmed, a triple launch floorless coaster, heavily inspired on a roller coaster i built in a different park (but i loved the design so much :x). Also, like DESTROY ALL HUMANITY, it features a cobra roll.

    After that I built a small food court near the central plaza just to see how it would look. Feel free to improve (or remove, I don't care about the building:P). I don't know what look we're going for with the plaza but i think it will look pretty cool if we surround it with nice buildings.

    Also hired some more handymen and gave them a patrol area near the center (since the guests will litter now that we have a food court. Placed some temporary litterbins there as well.

    Love that. I much prefer the monorail going around the main park, but not thrown into the entrance areas (since the game doesn't detect the monorail as transport anyways) I've got a couple ideas to tweak it a bit (as most of you know I love doing 'transport' rides.)

    p.s. My internet has been out since 9/11 due to Irma, so I'm glad to be back :D Maybe I'll actually work on this group park (I didn't like the way GP6 was heading so I just watched from the sidelines)

    Theres some things I miss about Oldtube. However, I use Enhancer for Youtube, so mine is completely customized anyways.

  17. As I know a couple of you, maybe more, are also from Florida, I just wanted to say stay safe. We're in for a helluva time, no matter where she hits.     Sounds to me like a major software issue. I'd launch into safemode and dig around, do a restore (not a reset!) and trouble shoot more on larger platforms, such as Tomshardware. Reddit is a good place too.
