I'll fix the entry point when nobody has claimed it and when I have the time. Just continue as it is, it's not a game breaking thing, though I expect there to be more guests after having it fixed.

Alright, seems fair. I spoke with UTMAN yesterday before he went to bed, and he hasn't had the time to actually work on it, so not much is lost.

Welcome DexX. Great to see more and more developers wanting to help out! For translating there is a separate project: https://github.com/OpenRCT2/Localisation I hope you enjoy working with the project. If you have any questions, the developer on Gitter is always willing to help.

Never played the sims, so I don't know, but I do know how RCT3 was lacking the feel. From what you can see of PC so far I think they are bringing this feel back really well.

@jensj12 Ah, I finally found the entry point you mentioned. It also looks like there is a corrupt tile, or 'black hole' as some call it. I can try and fix this whenever there is no one working on it. Edit: Fixed it, by simply moving the entry point and then removing all guests. UTMAN has the fixed version. For some reason that many guests triggered the glitchy rendering.

Staff placement bugs / Rollercoasters /
Broxzier replied to daand12's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
Of course, but there's a lot more to it that just staying connected. To stay synced, all actions from all players should be handled by everyone who is connected to the server at the same time. Obviously this is not possible because of data transfer taking some time, so instead things get simulated and checked if things are in sync. If not, then that message pops up. To fix this, all actions that cause a desync need to be made so that it doesn't trigger a desync. If you know how to trigger one step-by-step, then please let us know, it will make this more stable. -
I saw FredD streaming two days ago and tried helping him then. He's tried most things I could think of (launcher, downloading .zip manually, changing version, running as admin, and maybe some more). One thing I suggest doing is downloading the source from Githib, building it, and then running it from visual studio to see where it crashes. Visual Studio 2015 is free to use.

The source of the problem with all of these is the same: You have been playing while not being synced anymore. The second one is the most obvious, when the builder placed that part, the server never reached this packet (or perhaps wasn't able to build, because one of you had clearance checks disabled). To keep things working, always assume the server is the right one, never stay connected for too long after a desync. Your park might be completely different from the server over time, so it's best to reconnect occasionally. -
I'm loving this! Their approach of implementing the way of building from RCT2 into Planet Coaster looks promising. This, together with the local grids from the last dev diary, seems very powerful. I'm looking forward to trying it out myself.

@Philmon11 Personally I don't like adding scenery to rides built by others. In fact I usually build some scenery first, maybe a station, but not a full ride, and then expand upon both the ride and scenery to make them go together nicely. Maybe you can try adding scenery to it yourself, and perhaps end up with something nice looking. Trees are usually easy to make things look right, and having small buildings that cover parts of the ride is nice to have too.

Yup, for the stairs after the bridge near the entrance.

Welcome! It's always good to have more developers. When you have any questions about the code, there is a developers chat where you can ask anything.

Here is my addition: Poseidon's Rehearsal, a log flume ride. I also fixed some places where people got stuck. Also the train of Tesla can still get stuck, I didn't get to fixing this. @jensj12 I did not see any guests spawning near the bobsleigh coaster. I'll look into it, I'm close to finishing off now.

I won't be done before tomorrow evening, Christmas stuff as well

Oh, form your other post I understood that you are from this same website, but before the forums. Then I don't know, I just assumed the posts would still be here.
-
Hi Mat! All posts from .NET should have been migrated to this website, are you sure it's not on here? Perhaps you need to migrate your account still?
-
Welcome to the community Webber! As jensj already explained, it's not possible to remove the limits just now. First the game needs to be completely independent of the original rct2.exe, and then there needs to be a new way of saving and loading parks.

Bug Report - Sound Issues / Incorrect Error Message
Broxzier replied to ndragortt's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
I'm unable to reproduce either of them. What build are you using? -
Claiming it now. It's the only free day of the week for me, so that's fortunate! @xbalogan That coaster and the scenery looks nice!
-
I don't think this is a bug. It's probably someone else on the server who replaced them with other vehicles. In the options menu you can check an option that then allows you to select vehicles from other track types for rides.
-
Awesome, thanks!

Not just the AI, it will also conflict with a lot of the logic. There is no way of knowing what belongs to which part easily, especially for parks that allow building over unonwed land, it will be difficult to keep the money separate, as well as the scenario's goal.
