Claiming! Not sure yet what I'm going to build yet, but I'm already fixing some small things.
-
I probably have some time again, if I'm not wasting it with other games

You can just open the console and it will help you through the process of finding what you need. Typing a command without any arguments will show the help of that command. Be careful with changing the date though, it's unknown what a negative ride age does (but reports about what it does are welcome).

It would be a good idea to always start off with a screenshot of everything that is currently in your park. Also, the font makes it harder to read than necessary. "jensj12 is lost!"

I'm pretty sure this won't happen. Would change game balance or give false money readings.

Usually block brakes have a speed limit like normal brakes but in case the train has to be stopped, the train isn't sped up to that speed when the track is free. RCT2 nicely simulates the latter, but it would indeed be better with the former being added to it. Btw, thanks for the idea to put chainlifts on block brakes.

Something like the game version (0.0.4 or 0.0.5 develop, and the commit in case of the latter), anything that does open or what gets printed to the console. Have you tried running with --verbose? Did you change anything shortly before it stopped working? Some searching around could have given you the questions you need to aswer, as they're in pretty much every 'help my game doesn't start' topic.

Although most likely being talked about at least once, I'm pretty sure this hasn't been implemented yet. If you can't find this (or something similar) on the official issue tracker on github, feel free to post it there (or leave a thumbs up if you do), or wait for someone else to do that.

Granted, but he'll also eat everything from your dishes before you can. I wish Gulpee had a panda costume.
-
Granted, but the quality of the presentation doesn't fulfill the requirements and you'll have to do it again next year. I wish I had some more time to do the stuff I want to do.

I crashed myself while placing one (when they weren't yet hidden), the server didn't crash. To prevent the crashes they were simply removed from multiplayer until it's fixed (but sadly, we still get reports of people complaining because the game doesn't explain why they are hidden).

Loads of things that are strangely different
jensj12 replied to robthesaxplayer's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
I haven't seen these issues reported before and I'm not experiencing them myself (main menu doesn't crash and I can build underground paths), so trying the full version of the game is the only thing I can come up with. -
It has already been discussed in another topic: https://openrct2.org/forums/topic/1097-cheat-suggestions/ Instead modifying the rating by hand I'd rather change the calculations have them calculated 'correctly'. Could you provide an example of ride ratings of which you think they should be changed?
-
That's not a brake failure @Broxzier, that's a safety cut-out. Still, nicely integrated without too much invisible track.
-
Doing this would require a new vehicle type to be added. Cars always face forwards (with the heartline being a special case). Feel free to extract the images from the dat file, add them to a new dat file with the cars facing backwards and share them here.
-
Opening object selection crashes my game too. The recently added massive cinema causes pathing issues. I suggest closing the 2 paths heading towards it instead of adding extra paths to let guests out (nothing to do there anyways).
-
Are you on the latest version? The bug has already been fixed. If that doesn't help, could you provide some more info on when it started happening? (Did you download new custom content (directly or through a save/server)? Did it happen after an update? Did you mess with some files manually?) Also include the commit hash (if on develop version) visible in the lower left corner of the main menu (edit: not needed if you provide a dump).

Claimed: -Players: Broxzier, UTMAN, ziscor, imlegosCooldown (2): Removed myself because I'm too busy next months to work on two group parks at the same time. I might randomly claim it if I do find some spare time, but I'll probably be playing other games then

Rooting out Multiplayer Connectivity Issues
jensj12 replied to GeneralZod's topic in Multiplayer Discussion
Updating the object cache on the client side takes multiple seconds and has to be done every time a new (group of) objects is added. There's no difference between custom paths, rides and scenery, nor does changing the amount of new objects have any noticeable effect on the time it takes. When all clients have a high ping or just drop out, is that when a new player tries to join? Saving and sending the game to a new client shortly pauses the game. -
Howdy, just tried OpenRCT2 for the first time today!
jensj12 replied to JohnTravolski's topic in Introductions
Yes. It'll take a lot of time to get there, but in the end, the answer will be yes. That scrolling bug is known and will be fixed. Don't ask me when though: https://github.com/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2/issues/3571 No idea what's causing it, nor is there much information on the official issue for it. If you ever discover what's causing it, please let the devs know. https://github.com/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2/issues/3924 Anyways, welcome! Hope you'll have a nice time here. -
I make a lot of duelling coasters out of one coaster (that is, one coaster with two stations). It would be very helpful to have the trains evenly distributed directly when opening the ride (both with and without block sections). There are other solutions available in case of block sectioned rides, but those are not to be discussed in this topic. Just click close twice. This step can even be skipped entirely, just make sure at least one train makes a complete loop.

Ride Height Constantly Set to Ground.
jensj12 replied to DaKoasterNerd's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
Shift doesn't work for pre-designed rides. It never did. It is already on the official issue tracker as feature request.
