  1. Makes sense, thanks for the feedback @Tune @Broxzier @X7123M3-256 I'll see what I can come up with
  2. Perfect... Now the top and the bottom cube view need to be as one. That's the look needed to float a structure. Its like the corbels below, but too shallow. I'm thinking more of this rock set that I can hang up side down, and then build on top of.
  3. Agreed, for the most part. This is for .01 percent of the content that it would even be worth the effort to make it work. This is focused on rock formation type terrain, and basically be used to display as an illusion... ie: floating pyramids (top down), floating Island base kinda stuff... Track architecture too..
  4. I finally have a wish list item: I'm probably not the first to ask, but I must ask. Question: Can an object be flipped up side down?(end for end) Either before or after being placed? Without re-editing each item as needed in a flipped orientation and saving as new object with modified name etc... 90 degrees could possibly work the in the same manner.. idk. Is it possible? Thanks
  5. I became a member at New Element a few days ago, and still waiting for validation... is this normal with NE? I can't even post this question or others like why can I change my profile pic, or anything else in my profile for that matter. I can't do nuttin...
  6. Interesting, sounds cool!
  7. This is cool!!! I just need to ask this.. why? Seriously no disrespect here. Is this part of animating scenery? Doors? Directing peeps? I read these posts and I still fail to see what the true purpose is, but if it's something I can implement, I'm on board.
  8. Learning code doesn't happen overnight... you may be biting off more than you can chew. Until you get very famiar with ORCT2, I suggest learning to mod existing content first.
  9. Cool man... where did you get those small palms? Looks on point!
  10. @Broxzier does the speed at which a coaster hits a drop impact the scream machine?

Kind of like selective neutrino reactor
  12. Just throwing this out there: Run program as Administrator. If by chance ORCT2 is trying to save to a folder that needs Administrative actions it may be getting rejected. Also, make sure your not saving files to a virtual location, such as c:\gateway\users\app data\virtual store\OpenRCT2\save games... I've had this issue and on occasion glitches like this show up. Good luck
  13. Its no secret I had issues last week also with Avast... Avast is now gone from my systems and eset is the new protector working with Windows Defender. I learned a couple things in my frustration of the Launcher halting and my network processes being restricting. I learned that there's a ratio of complaints vs. authorizations being reported to ie: Norton, Avast, eset, McAfee etc.. If the ratio of complaints exceed the ratio of authorizations by a margin set by the company then the protection company will not typically allow a global exclusion. The easiest work around for this is to have a working relationship with these web protection services who accept and analyse ORCT2 files daily. The anomaly I had last week was the fact that ORCT2 tried to write to a secured folder and typically when a file tries to write to a restricted location, its considered malicious. To make a long story short, Avast said they updated, but do to the ratio, they temporally retracted... eset on the other hand dealt with it like pros. I am by no means an authority of this topic, simply not my thing. But I have written enough code, embedded exe's etc.. even object components, ie: custom content can cause 'pita' issues, and I would think something is goofy if it wasn't happening.

I understand your point BUT... I've been testing different scenarios of Gulch...(and prior designs most of this I stumbled on from much past experiments) because splash rides are typically high capacity attractions... So I use them to draw the crowd like I did with Gulch at the opposite end of the park. and perhaps you already know. When the ride gets close to 3000 feet like this one, The boat count is most important, once the boat goes stagnant to unload, peeps get mad fast. So the the boats need to unload at the station asap. Anyway, if a splash ride rates E = 9+ then your good to go close to 5 minutes run time. But the second that boat stops, it goes bad fast. So the Operating Options you can check 'Leave if another boat arrives at station'... No complaints will occur. Don't mind me, i'm geeking around on Cinco De Mayo .. Tacos and Pacifico Here are the stats: 3 month evaluation period. 10mph lift : E: 8.83; I: 4.34; N: 2.89; time: 4:05; 84+/- peeps continuous 15mph lift : E: 8.87; I: 4.44; N: 2.93; time: 3:31; 72+/- peeps continuous 30mph lift : E: 9.08; I: 4.74; N: 3.05; time: 2:28; 54+/- peeps continuous EDIT: addition figure this one out 50mph lift : E: 9.73; I: 5.29; N: 3.37; time: 2:23; 125+/- peeps continuous Zero complaints all tests. Just food for thought... There really is no one way and 70 years ago the same ride pushed 250 peeps all day long...lol

@Broxzier If you could do me a favor. Once the rating stats show up for Gulch Splash, please reduce lift speed to 8-10 mph and reduce boat count to 25. Appreciate it and Thank you Edit: MY BAD I don't know why the above post never posted... It was obviously my fault ... regardless... @Wuis If you could do me a favor. Once the rating stats show up for Gulch Splash, please reduce lift speed to 8-10 mph and reduce boat count to 25. Appreciate it and Thank you Thanks again
  16. Looks like the reverse Topo from the last time you posted your avatar. @Broxzier... BAD ASS MAN!!!! My head just went to Alice in Wonderland mode!! I'm gonna go bat sh!t crazy playing with this one!! THANK YOU.

Technically yes, although 5.49b is more up to date, it would bypass cascadia's fixes. Its a judgment call i'll leave up to you and cascadia. The fixes I did are easy enough to redo
  18. Typically yes... But it went strait to lock down mode and wouldn't even let me abort the process before all network processes restricted access. Some of the conflict was coming from a path directed to the /bin folder, and when I authorized the path I kept receiving an invalid path conflict... Everything has been resolved including global exclusions (at least for Avast and Defender) I'm not discouraged from this, I actually expect it. Hell, anytime I just power up a byte processor, I'm amazed how it all works!
  19. Started the "Earth to Mars Experience" .. The park will now provide an Earth to Mars shuttle... Where the perfect planet meets the red planet... Prelim development stage.
  20. I understand that. I also understand that if OpenRCT2 was sent to these companies, then those companies can write an exclusion list for OpenRCT2 and update globally... we did it all the time writing the Crysis series.. you can set up a secured drop box and every update or mod gets cleared in quite quickly... I volunteer to set it up .. But, to be fair here, ORCT2 was trying to write to one of my secured drives through a path that was clearly unrelated to the startup processes.
  21. I do not know what the issue is quite yet but the last 2 days have been a pain in my ASS!!!! Because Avast and Windows Defender are blocking all actions regarding the startup and Launch process. I do not know why yet, but I will find out soon enough. Moderators, please contact the two mentioned above and solve this issue. Please get the necessary files cleared so I don't have to... Thanks. I had to un-install... re-install... still had issues. p.s. I already submitted files to the for mentioned agencies to clear this up. Who knows what will happen,, Just letting you know. Believe me .."I trust OpenRCT2!' Just make the other companies stop pissing me off! THANK YOU!

@cascadia nice find, I noticed that too, but I think... lol.. I think, there is something before you... in my test, you rated out from a cold start meaning something before you has an issue... I certainly could be wrong, but at this point (Just my opinion) there is an issue from deco track or similar from somewhere else in the park causing the issue. Its amusing how these little anomalies wreak havoc

@cascadia We are on the same page here as far as the merging... When I initially added the coaster lifts for 10 mph lift, It wasn't anything new as far as being a challenge. The sequential process stuck in a loop was the kink. Also, Splash had too many boats running and causing much of the lag time from the peepy complaints.. it needs to drop to 24 or so. just a fyi for ya Terra Incognita has issues or something before it and Verruckt just crashed pretty good..lol these are a couple of the rides having issues so far...

UPDATE: The info above was spot on! After a few minutes of searching, I haven't located the initial attraction yet. So I shut down all attractions and only tested Dry Gulch Splash to let it finish rating as It did perfectly. Ride jumped from 35 peeps to 332 peeps and its still growing (the counter rolled over at 200).. Now i'll reverse diagnose to the ride that's still having issues and let you know.. unless you @Broxzier find it first... Also here is file with Splash slowed back down and some little stuff changed since @cascadia earlier.. cascadia's file does come first though as without his permission, do NOT use this file The OpenRCT2 Group Park 5.49 b.sv6

I am sharing this info as to hopefully help fix the rating issues in the park.
