RCT:W isn't going to be any good I think. Judging by the demo's a month ago, they still have a lot of work to do. I'm going to stick with OpenRCT2 for the moment If I buy RCTW or Planet Coaster, it will be in Steam Sales for a few €

You can use any ports you like. When you open them in your router and run the server with that port it should work.

RCT2 Installation Directory File

What result exactly? Do you get an error or something? Where did you download OpenRCT2? -
Welcome to our website. And I hope the same thing will happen

How do I use the Twitch Integration?
RuneLaenen replied to VirtuaroidPilot's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
The Twitch integration does not stream anything, you still need a screen recorder for this. The twitch integration adds some features like naming your visitors like your viewers automatically or showing chat messages as news. -
Yes I also think we should make default custom scenarios and content for OpenRCT2 There will be a Steam Workshop-like thing on this website in the future though, where you can upload your own stuff.

Welcome to our website I hope you have a great time. You can select a server to play on while in the game. If it doesn't ask for a password, you're allowed to play on it

test Edit: nope, you're right. Also happens on Chrome

How can I open ports? :(
RuneLaenen replied to AlexanderLaheij's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
Port forwarding depends on your provider, we can't really help with that. So make sure you have set it up on the config on your provider website/router config page (I presume that's already done, as seen in the first screenshot) I also see you have two pc's forwarded, this is for starters not possible (one port on your public ip can only point to one pc) and secondly it's not needed. Only the server itself has to have his port opened. Clients can connect without any other configuration. If you want to play locally, you don't have to port-forward at all. -
That's possible after... 500 posts I think

Yes indeed, those strange things happen because you're not in sync anymore with each other. No, the next stable will be like the current develop version, but with additional bugfixes. The stable version is - at this moment in development - in my opinion not better than the develop version. (for example, most of the bugs from the current 'stable' version are fixed in the current develop version) It can be a while until multiplayer is 100% bugfree/desyncfree.

Hi, this is indeed 'normal' behaviour. It shouldn't happen, of course, but it's something the devs are working on. At the moment some actions are still done by the original game code, which causes the desyncs.

Convert Facebook Page into Facebook Group
RuneLaenen replied to Derf's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
Hmm, the community part should happen on this forum I'm also pretty sure a lot of members don't want to be known with their real name, also, not everyone has a facebook account so... -
Yes, it was quite annoying to have multiple communities who practically had the same target audience.

All OpenRCT.net functions will merge into this website and the forum software is now better, has support for messages etc. The Coastercloud and content center will follow in the future.

Silly me! Never actually created a topic in here!

Hi, and welcome to our new website. I think you just made the first new topic on here ;p -
To add your OpenRCT.net avatar to your account on these forums, follow these steps: 1) Click on your name in the right upper corner and click on Profile. 2) Click on the avatar edit button. 3) Choose Import from URL. 4) Input this: https://openrct.net/img/avatar/large/username.jpg (put your OpenRCT.net username where it says username) 5) Click save and enjoy

Well, as soon as one of the mods see this, they will delete it. It has been worse but I haven't seen it since posting a topic needs a captcha. I've deleted the topics.
