Issue selecting train types ingame
Gymnasiast replied to Kyman0712's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
Does this happen in every save, or just this one? Could you upload the save? -
Either that, or you didn’t remove your Documents folder and OpenRCT2 simply used the existing configuration.

Issue selecting train types ingame
Gymnasiast replied to Kyman0712's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
We will need to know your OpenRCT2 build hash. You can find it in the “About OpenRCT2” window, where there is also a button to copy the version string. -
We pushed a fix for an issue in this area yesterday, could you both verify you’re on build `7fff8fa` and try again?

Where to download RollerCoaster Tycoon World?
Gymnasiast replied to joao's topic in General Discussion
You can buy it on Steam. That site/store is safe. We are not going to recommend any way to obtain it illegally. Additionally, I would very much recommend against getting RollerCoaster Tycoon World. It’s shit. If you want a game that is more modern than OpenRCT2, I would recommend Planet Coaster or Parkitect (the former is more scenery and graphics-oriented, the latter more gameplay-oriented). -
Change log shows nothing after update
Gymnasiast replied to Eric23's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
Hi Erik-Jan, could you create a pull request for that fix? -
Which version of OpenRCT2 did you download? (Will need both version number and whether it’s a release or a develop version.)

You’re not providing much information - not even stuff like your operating system and its version, as well as the version of OpenRCT2 you’re running. The only thing I can guess is that you enabled OpenGL mode while your hardware cannot handle it. To fix this, you need to manually edit your config.ini file, or rename/remove it. If you’re using Windows, you can find it at Documents\OpenRCT2\config.ini.

"Could not find \Data\g1.dat at this path."
Gymnasiast replied to SpookiZach's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
You picked the location of a shortcut to RCT2, but not the actual location. Since you use a GOG install, it’s likely to be in a subfolder of C:\GOG Games or C:\Program Files\GalaxyClient or something similar. -
Problem while starting the game
Gymnasiast replied to Johnlackland's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
It sometimes takes more time for the Windows build to come online. Generally, it should appear within an hour.- 1 reply

Anyone else not able to launch v0.3.5.1-c7f87d3?
Gymnasiast replied to Andrew781's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
It sometimes takes a while for a new build to become available. Generally, waiting until a later moment (e.g. a few hours) tends to solve the problem. -
OpenRCT2 generates a key for you that can be used to prevent others from impersonating you. Did you change your username?

We will need to know your version and build. You can find it in the “About OpenRCT2” window, where there is also a button to copy the version string. Additionally, does this *only* occur with parks with custom scenery? Does saving regular parks (e.g. Crazy Castle) work?

The GOG version can be extracted by the game itself (provided innoextract is installed, which is included with the flatpak builds). Also, until pushing Proton, it was very involved to install Windows-only games on Steam under Linux, requiring one to start up Steam in console mode and issue several commands. Feel free to open pull requests to update other information on the website.

More path texture options in previous verison
Gymnasiast replied to andy55699's topic in General Discussion
You’re looking in the wrong section. Click the “Advanced” button in the Object Selection and an extra tab will be made available that contains these legacy footpaths. -
Unable to save game, tracks, or scenarios
Gymnasiast replied to Galvan316's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
It sounds like you are running out of memory. Also, please check the autosave folder to see if there are any back-ups of your saves - that’s why we added that. -
still many pic and object fails..
Gymnasiast replied to Timmy's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
We recently merged an update that should extend this image limit, so you should now be able to select more objects without any issues. -
More path texture options in previous verison
Gymnasiast replied to andy55699's topic in General Discussion
They are all still present in the current develop version. Which ones are you missing? (Adding screenshots might help.) -
RCT Triple thrill pack + OpenRCT2 v's RCT Classic + OpenRCT2
Gymnasiast replied to swellard's topic in General Discussion
The assets that RCT Classic has are the exact same ones as RCT2 has, with the sole exception of the banner font (which is anti-aliased in RCT Classic). The UI is also different and possibly scales a bit a better than OpenRCT2’s UI, which might skew the comparison. -
Adding Paths Causes Crash
Gymnasiast replied to OddmentsAlchemyLab's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
Are you on Windows? It should have asked if you wanted to upload a crash report - did you upload one? Alternatively, do you have a set of steps we can do to reproduce the crash? -
We need to have better server moderation
Gymnasiast replied to Ruuuubs's topic in Multiplayer Discussion
I think that’s a good point - it might provide an outlet for them and take the heat off other servers. If all the tasteless stuff is mostly concentrated in one server, it should also be better for everyone - the trolls/immature people get their server, the “normal” users get the other servers. Simply removing the WTF server from the list is not going to cause the trolls to leave - they will just stalk other servers and I think that’s not what the OP (or most people) wants anyway. I would also like to thank you for replying. I prefer dialogue and negotiation to simply laying down rules (except as a last resort).
