  1. you think that was still on the table when they put in the Option to manipulate the ratings briefly using the blue command prompt window in-game? Come on bud. The essence is still there man. Even with the open development model.
  2. Good Morning, not sure if this is the right place but I'll shoot - I'm finding that of the custom content I download specifically for RCT, particularly the tracks, are not showing up in the rides list on the game. I have the files in both the 'track' folder of RCT 2 and the 'tracks' folder in Rollercoaster Tycoon Triple Thrills which is the most recent acceptable game compatible with MacOs. Whether the extension of the file is TD4 or TD6, it's not showing up in the game when you go to the rollercoasters (i.e. these files are rollercoasters), and this is after multiple system reboots. Any idea why this is when openRCT2 apparently embraces all iterations of Rollercoaster Tycoon?
  3. good day, while it's great to see all the strides the development team and creatives are producing with openRCT2, it would be nice to finally have a feature where you can alter and save concrete ride ratings. just for fun. the console cheat (i.e. where you type in line for line the ride ID and the ratings you want for excitement, intensity and nausea - doesn't stick, not even if you save the ride the moment the ratings arrive in the game and even if you do that and populate the ride in the same park or a future park.) Perhaps i would suggest a full-blown 'god mode' that is an expansion of what's provided in the cheat menu and has some more options that puts the player into full control over their parks. While we appreciate what's been done, i think to get the full value out of the game and give greater control to the player, it would be great to go in that direction. 'god mode' doesn't have to be a full list of options comparable to the cheat menu and those tabs. More so a + module of 3-4 directly impactful additions that influence a park visitor's perceptions of a ride, piece of scenery. visitors aren't rollercoaster or ride fanatics in the game, which is a real thing in life. no matter how many times you renew a ride. visitors won't ride and/or pay beyond free for gentler rides with the current rating system, no matter if you check or don't check they prefer less or more intense rides. just some thoughts from a lifelong rollercoaster tycoon player
  4. question - so what bearing does the pay park / free rides drop down have on the probability of park visitor's wanting to pay the default price or any price you charge on a ride? like for example, let's say I pick the option 'free park / pay per pride' option from the drop-down, and I have one of the default prices for the theater is $1.50, would they pay the price? reason why i i ask is because even when i had the option that they pay the park and pay per ride, they wouldn't even pay 10 cents for a gentle ride, whether it was the merry go round, the train - heck, not even the theater or fun house. Just curious
  5. So if I have the box checked, that will happen?
  6. There’s a recurring bug in the game that is whenever you place a ride that’s tall, the entrance and exit have a gap between their supports thus causing the path you create to never be able to connect to other paths or the ground. I hope this bug is corrected by the next update
  7. Hey, it would really send the replay value of the game through the roof if the rides / people limit were removed from the game. I mean it would befitting to fill up the size of the park since we have the option to make the park larger in size.
  8. Ah good day everyone, to be fair, the issue wasn’t acknowledged and remedied when it was brought up on the openRCT2 site by another user ages ago. I’ve read the last two change logs and didn’t see the fix included. So it appears it was missed. Spare me the psycho analysis, until you’ve experienced the same issue and want to be part of the crusade - there’s not much conversation to be had. Oh, please and thank you to the developers. Be well everyone
  9. Hey, since the developers are aware of the two issues associated with the manually adjust ride ratings capability, how about they develop and release a fix for that; one that allows the user keyed ratings to stay in place and allows the user to continue keying their own ride ratings for other rides in the same park without the game reverting the ratings to what the game rates the rides and allows all user ratings to follow the ride to the saved file and still be in place when the user installs the saved tracks into a park. That would be very empowering for users especially since openrct2 doesn't work with Trainers like the classic rollercoaster tycoon series did.
  10. So when will there be a fix / patch / game update that fixes the issue with the manual ratings we input reverting back to the the initial ratings of the rides? The steps up above require alot of effort on the user resulting in temporary solutions.
  11. I for one would like the ability to increase excitement ratings or intensity ratings or nausea ratings on rides. That's the one thing I would like in OpenRCT2. I have created all these custom rollercoasters that have the visuality of high ratings only for the game to rate them as low excitement ratings. It would seem like a more realistic complete cheat functionality for OpenRCT2 to also include the capability to alter the ratings on rides since 8car had it among everything else that OpenRCT2 allows. If such a capability exists for OpenRCT2, is there a patch or a mod for OpenRCT2 that allows such a capability? Please share
