  1. But all of these just work perfectly :DView imageSadly the water rides are too slow to take passengers with them. With the extra weight they won't get up the vertical hill (yes even those big boats will get up the hill eventually, it just takes some time...).Here the save from the screenshot above: https://openrct.net/cc/share/14/Bogus+sandbox.SV6
  2. I just tried go karts on vertical track, but ORCT crashed: Unhandled exception at 0x540C6F86 (openrct2.dll) in openrct2.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000000.
  3. I love that two-way looping coaster :D Eventually supporting it without zero clearance would be nice for those who are not familiar with zero-clearance, but after looking at this I might give it a try.
  4. Confirmed crash on Dutch localisation. Changed back to English and it worked again.Unhandled exception at 0x7742BD43 (ntdll.dll) in openrct2.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000014.
  5. No problems here. Win10 with Intel card. Dutch computer and RCT2 with ORCT set to english (in case it matters :P )

    A few of my Ideas

With better AI we need to be careful that you can't get all the cash you want from peeps that want to use a transport to go home. Don't let them get on and decrease the park rating if the price is too high (and an option to set individual prices for each station?). In two of the six flags parks a lot of guests are stuck in oil derrick / sky tower. The fast forward button already has an option where in-game years are turned into seconds. No need for an extra option to finish scenario's early. An extra scenario goal option 'Have X guests in your park at any time before the end of october year Y' can hopefully be added.
  7. View imageCoaster stats are slightly off due peeps riding it, but the max drop height shouldn't be affacted by that.
  8. I needed a fun challenge in RCT2 so I decided to take a small piece of land and build a coaster on it. Using completely random numbers, small turned out to be 50 tiles in 5x10 pattern, including entrance and exit. So I started to build some coasters: I only allowed myself to use 5x10 tiles, so the only way to improve them was to build higher. Practice makes perfect: After some time, I started to allow myself to use 10x10 tiles. It turns out that you can build much much much better designs with only twice as much room: I even managed to build some racing rollercoasters with trains reaching the finish within a split-second of each other! Some tracked rides allow narrow corners, perfect for some 5x5 rides! (edit: seems the river rapids are 5x6, whoops) How many inversions can you fit in 100 tiles? This corkscrew coaster has 9: It is even harder with inverted coasters, as they take 3 units of vertical space instead of 2: Note that all minetrain coasters have tunnels and terrain for better visuals. Guests don't seem to care about where you put the hedges inside of your maze... In the end, I tried some 6x15 coasters (90 tiles). Man you can build great stuff on that! (this vertical coaster is the same as 'Towers of Terror' in the second Group Park) Sometimes 5x10 just isn't enough, as you can see in the lower part of the image above.A screenshot with about 60% of the rides: If you want to download the park with all 60 compact rides, click here: CompactPark.SV6 Note that all coasters are designed to be completely safe. Only 3 coasters ever crashed and they have been modified to prevent any further crashes. Thanks for reading!
  9. It's only on the select track design screen, not in the ride statistics window. I'm running the latest development build.
  10. The heighest drop height currently shows the number of drops (with 'm' postfix) instead of the maximum drop height. Initially only observed in the Dutch translation, but it's in the English version too now.
  11. That's Q1 2016. Plus April 2016, which is Q2.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ninety-ninety_rule
  12. The grid, I love it, it makes placement so much more logical, why is it gone? There are enough sims with professional freeform coaster editing tools. I think they still expect the themepark sandboxers to come to them while there are other programs dedicated to it. (for anyone interested, nolimits 2 (can load RCT1 coasters through NL1) and theme park studio already fit these needs, which I both own)You can place grid coasters in non-grid environments, but RCTW to any grid-based thing won't work.
  13. In the features list (on steam store page) they said they would include isometric view and a financial system, no word about it in the video while that's the only thing I'm interested in. As far as I know it's more a sim than a tycoon game. I might try if there's a demo available, but OpenRCT will most likely be much better for me.
  14. Some (or all) of the steel twister coasters are already included in RCT2. You can import RCT1 tracks in RCT2 by using the track manager.
  15. Just after a breakdown (safety cut-out), one train of a coaster was stuck in move to end of station mode. The coaster also allows 2 trains on the lift hill while in block sectioned mode (the third one was released from the station when the first left the lifthill). Ageing rides.

A simple renew button which calculates the difference between sell and buy value would work. The sell value of rides already decreases over time (try to rebuild a part of an old coaster and see). Reset sell value, reliability, age and popularity and you're done. You usually don't have that many rides that automatic renovating is needed, but it could be helpful too.
  17. 1. Okay, I've uploaded my trackpack to the store. I'd like to keep it as a single download. Have fun reviewing all tracks :D Here's the pic: View image3. I might try to add it someday, once I can get my hands on developing. Coasters like this are useless without: View image4. Yes I meant saved games, there's no way to attach saved games to forum posts right now.
  18. I want to upload some tracks to the store, but I have a few questions:1. Can I upload multiple tracks as a trackpack? If I put them all in a zip and upload, will others be able to download and install them all at once (through the launcher)? I've made some duelling coasters (which should always be bundled together) and a lot of 5x5, 5x10 and 10x10 coasters that I'd like to share.2. How are images generated? I see they are auto-generated in the CoasterCloud, but do tracks have that too?3. For some minetrain coasters I really need an option to save the terrain with the coaster track =PSuggestion: add a 'park showcase' tab to the content store, otherwise this will sometime happen in the scenario's tab (and would be perfect for my park with compact coasters :D).
  19. That mock-up is not silly, it explains perfectly what I was trying to say! When you click on a campaign, the missions can just appear like normal, click on 'official campaigns' to go back. No need yet for extra buttons. Probably also add a total score for all of the missions, but we can change that after implementation.
  20. There's a cheat that will prevent any breakdowns, but if you don't like cheats, here's a guide for you. It was originally made for RCT1 but is still useful for building coasters without block sections. Not using block sections can lead to a higher capacity, or using them is sometimes not even possible. In every other case, I'd recommend using block brakes on your coaster. Here's the guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=280492440
  21. Having custom campaigns might work as well. Everyone can create a set of scenario's, decide the order and how many uncompleted scenario's are available at one time, and then upload the scenario pack to content store. Add a tab with custom campaign where each campaign looks like a scenario (with completed/total on the right), but opens another menu of scenario selection. Basically add another level of menu selection ('start new -> tab -> campaign -> scenario' instead of 'start new -> tab -> scenario').Still I'd like to see one large official OpenRCT campaign with the 50 best scenario's.
  22. Hello guys! One of the biggest RCT1 fans here! (according to steam forum activity)I'm Ducth, 17 years young and I love tycoon/strategy games, while I don't like anything with fighting, so the amount of fun games I can play is very limited. Always hoped for a recreation of RCT1 in modern language with extra features and fun, and I think I've found two of them. This and FreeRCT (which is built completely from scratch).I have some (competetive) coding experience (participated at ioi2015.kz) in C++, but not with anything that has to do with graphics or mouse input. I hope I can help, but that would require some guidance (and my free time is limited due school). You can call me either J or jensj12, I listen to both, although I prefer 'J' in verdana font.
