Looking good so far . I especially like that dueling woodie. You should probably randomize the underwater hills a bit.
-
You should at least put some effort in making the landscape look interesting if you want others to download this
-
Yeah i could have gone higher, but i decided to use banked turns so the guests wouldn't feel uncomfortable.

Lol anyone else notice this? I just started up a big park and everyone starts vomiting like crazy. If you speed up a bit it sounds like a coughing concert . (Notice the park rating drop) Same happens in another park:
-
Wow this is amazing stuff. So how do the physics work with 2 half cars? What speed will it have?

Ok, my contribution: I created DESTROY ALL HUMANITY, a DESTROY ALL HUMANITY themed coaster. After the 14-inversion record set by the smiler, B&M decided to smash that record with a roller coaster with over a million inversions. Sadly, the game stops counting after 31 inversions so we still don't know how many it has. DESTROY ALL HUMANITY travels through several themed areas, like the big square of ice, the big square of green squares, the big square of red squares and and a big square of mud i guess? The cobra roll element. What is a coaster without a cobra roll, right? It's crap! Oh yeah, this is the big square of black and white squares themed area. Shortly after building this ride, the park was awarded with the safest park award. B&M's safety standard never disappoints. Sadly, DESTROY ALL HUMANITY creates quite a lot of noise, (The classic B&M roar, mixed with pleas for mercy, screams of agony and the sound of flying screws and bolts) so some existing attractions had to be boxed in. Now that we're running out of space, I think it's time we start thinking about starting group park 8. Jokes aside, here's my contribution: Illuminati confirmed, a triple launch floorless coaster, heavily inspired on a roller coaster i built in a different park (but i loved the design so much ). Also, like DESTROY ALL HUMANITY, it features a cobra roll. After that I built a small food court near the central plaza just to see how it would look. Feel free to improve (or remove, I don't care about the building). I don't know what look we're going for with the plaza but i think it will look pretty cool if we surround it with nice buildings. Also hired some more handymen and gave them a patrol area near the center (since the guests will litter now that we have a food court. Placed some temporary litterbins there as well. Hello someone insignificant, welcome to our community I think most people here have great nostalgia feelings when playing this game. Good luck with your unsolvable emotional problems and not being boring.

Are you guys affraid of rollercoasters?

Things i built today: Overview: I have been filling in the area next to Wicked and Mamba. Falcon's fury: Just a roto-drop tower. It fit nicely into the space i had left in that area. Bumper boats: Bumper boat ride in a small lake with an island in the middle. Rush hour: A car ride which travels through a small city on three levels. I'm quite happy with how it turned out. It took so long to create all those buildings. Mumbo Jumbo: A virginia reel that first races downhill through some tight turns, then travels through some big curves, and finishes by going back to the station using a chain lift. I first built the entire track and then later decided to raise the floor under it, which looks pretty good in my opinion.

How you play RCT2 is up to you.. The peeps are not programmed to experience a whiplash at too high negative G's, for example. They'll even probably say the ride was great if the intensity rating is within bounds. Anyway, i think most people here like more realistic designs. So no stacked helices, endless strings of inversions, repetitive designs etc. Myself, i never really use saved designs, and prefer custom designing my rides, except when I'doing a scenario i want to beat quickly where I'll plant down some cheap ones with good ratings.
-
Only a small update today because I didnt have much time Built Mamba, a big woodie with 2 inclined helices. I'm quite happy with how this one turned out First helix: And the other one, from a different angle: It was sort of inspired by images like these:

Things i built today: Overview: Gyrocopters: Like mentioned yesterday, i built a helicopter ride over the submarines. For some reason it'sreally popular with the guests! I also gave the submarine ride a nice station building. Behemoth: After the succes of the previous SLC in the park, it was decided the park needed another inverted roller coaster, but with much bigger capacity. Meet Behemoth, a tall B&M inverted coaster with 6 inversions. I really like the lay-out of this coaster and I am happy with how compact i could make it. Save file attached for the people who want to meet Behemoth up close The Great Circle 8.sv6

Things i built today: Overview: I built lots of temporary paths to help the peeps get around. Will look better later . Also, i finally connected all the stations of the railway around the park. Shipwreck bay & Boomerang: Shipwreck bay is a swinging ship next to a big waterfall. Boomerang is a simple junior reverse-incline launched shuttle coaster, with the start and end suspended over the cliffs. Yellow submarines: Because we all live in one . I will probably add a helicopter ride above this area. I think it will look cool. And the submarine ride station will get a nice building. And last but not least: Rocket man! This launched roller coaster was named after a loser dictator who likes to detonate nuclear bombs. It's true. Very sad. Anyway, I'm quite proud of the building. Here's the save, for the people who want to look at the details: The Great Circle 7.sv6

I will probably add in more details at the end when i run out of space.. or not Glad you like it. Thanks! This is actually the first time I'm making buildings around most of my stations.. Only while building this park i found out you can use CTRL to keep building at the same level as another object Makes it a million times less tedious to build something nice.

Things i built today: Overview: Built some extra paths up the middle section, and also an elevator ride. Almost at 50%! Splash Manor: The boat ride that i mentioned yesterday, but had not finished yet Just a simple splash boat that travels around and through a big building. Old Timer Safari & Afterburner: Two rides that i made to fill up the space between Venomous and Cliff Diver. Old Timer Safari is a vintage car ride that travels through a garden, through tunnels, over the station and beside waterfalls. I could write a big story about Afterburner as well but it is just a Top Spin Next to Afterburner I built a food court which isn't very popular (yet). Wicked: Every park needs an SLC, right? Well, this custom SLC has 7 inversions, with the first one even before the lift hill! Real headbangin' good. Also, I built Scrambler next to it, in matching colors.
-
Things i built today: Overview: Wild wild rapids: A river rapids, nicely hidden behind the Venomous roller coaster. I decided to make a rocky area here with several hills and buildings. Behind this area is an unifinished river boat ride which i will show later when it's done Cliff diver: A vertical drop roller coaster that dives of the cliff, where it turns itself into a big knot. After that, it climbs back to the station using a lift hill. I decided to build the station on the second floor of an existing building, which turned out quite nice (can be seen in the last picture). The mansion: A hounted house, sandwiched between on a rock between the tracks of the Cliff Diver.
-
Things i built today: Overview: Expedition BigFoot: An expedition through the jungle on BigFoot trucks! Saw Inc.: Ride a log through an old saw mill! Warning: keep hands within vehicle at all times. Venomous: A bright green and purple giga coaster. First it is pulled up the cable hill after which it passes some hills. Then it turns around in a pretzel-like curve (I was gonna call this coaster 'Pretzlcoatl' but Venomous looked better on the signs). After this it passes several more hills, of which one swoops around the first drop. At the end, the coaster passes over the station and into a curve that flies high over the edge of the cliffs, after which it reaches the brake run. Station building: I especially like this part where it swoops around the first drop: Save file attached for the people who are interested The Great Circle 4.sv6
-
Things i built today: Overview: Kartventurous: A dinosaur themed kart track with a fly-over through the station. Monkey Puzzle: A nice and small roller coaster, for the smaller monkeys in the park! Reverse Racers (And srecaR esreveR): Two dueling reverse-incline launched woodies. First, they are pulled backwards up the chain, after which they will race forward over several hills, switching places a few times until they reach the end of the track. After this, the cars will race again, but now in the other direction! One of the coasters has it's cars starting in reverse I included the save file for people who want to see everything in more detail. The Great Circle 3.sv6

Wow, it's amazing how quick the years fly by when you're actually trying t make everything in your park look NICE. Things I built today: Tiki Tong area: An area in vibrant colors, telling the story of the ancient deity Tiki Tong. It has a Launched Freefall, a woodie, and a 3D cinema. Needs some nicer looking fences near the roller coaster. Also i just realised I need to color the car of the launched freefall An enterprise near the entrance (because why not):
-
I like it!!! And it would be awesome to have a train running over that at some point
-
Thank you. I will 'consider' it. Things i built today: - Overview: - Eye of the tiger: A triple-launch coaster that is first launched up the hill, but without enough speed to make it over. Then it rolls backward, passing the station and into the half loop. After this, it moves forward again, now with enough speed to make it over the first hill. After the hill it enters a cobra roll, a small tunnel, and then the big orange loop. After this it will go through one last inversion and return to the station. For some reason i kept hearing the song 'eye of the tiger' in my head while building this thing - Chairlifts: I just HAD to use that loop in the rollercoaster for something cool. Also, built a little winding path up the middle mountain (Or 'nipple', if you prefer)

Hello all, Using a simple height map, i created a big park which i will be filling up with nice attractions. I plan to use the full area in the middle. Every now and then i will provide an update. I will only use vanilla rct2 attractions and scenery. I mostly like to make somewhat realistic rollercoasters, I'm not that great with scenery (But i'll try). For people who want the scenario, I attached it below. No money, no objective, all rides available from the start. If anyone can come up with a better name, I'm listening The Great Circle.sc6
-
Maybe we should just get started and see what people come up with.. If all else fails for the transport system we can always make a subway/metro system. About custom objects.. I am not a big fan of custom scenery myself, but i saw the poll results and we will not reach consensus on this anytime soon Perhaps if someone wants to use custom scenery it's best if that person asks the forum for permission to use those pieces before placing them. If most people like them then why not.

I'm sorry, purple coasters are not allowed (Just kidding). I did see some complaints in previous group parks about observation towers built very high so you should probably try to stick to a size that actually makes it look decent and not like a line pointing upwards into the stratosphere.
