    Hello!

    Welcome pleb!
  2. You need to point it to the folder RCT2 is installed in.
  3. @MotogRice: Make sure the launcher knows the path of RCT2, try setting it in the options.
  4. Since Windows Vista there's a compatibility mode for executables, which I never had many problems with. It's pretty much needed for RCT2 to run properly on newer machines.
  5. Maybe try reinstalling from Windows 7 SP1 and see if that solves your update problem. Updates should never not work, they're needed to keep your system secure, as well as adding support for newer programs.
  6. Does SFM support orthographic projection? Or does it allow you to enter a projection matrix?
  7. You shouldn't need VS for this, just download the installer or the zip for Windows.

Thought so, the entrance they want to go to is probably 'closer' over just X and Y axis (Manhattan distance), but not over the actual paths. The Manhatten formula is not a good heuristic in this case.
  9. Check the console for any warnings (the black window).
  10. Maybe try out the new launcher, the one for Windows, Linux and OSX. It has less features, but will eventually catch up.
  11. So that means the launcher has never been worked at all. Can you try removing the entire folder, saving the files you want to keep of course, and then installing the launcher again?
  12. That reminds me of this wonder:
  13. The game is in the OpenRCT2/bin folder.
  14. PFCKrutonium's launcher downloads the game to your documents, and that's the one you're using.
  15. One: Why would you change your port? Two: I believe there's a default rank that you can set. Three: If you want to join on a local network, connecting to the local IP might work.
  16. Could it be that you have two versions of the game installed? One in Program Files, and another in My Documents?
  17. I don't feel the need for any forum rules. Most of these rules are just common sense - something not all people have. I also doubt the ones asking frequently asked questions will not take the time to read a sticky post. Maybe it's nicer to have a sub-forum specific message at the top when creating new topics, for example "Check if your question has already been asked before" when creating a thread in Problems, Bugs and Feedback.
  18. Check out the RCT2 Object Editor here: http://www.nedesigns.com/utilities/ Using this tool you can open and edit existing DAT files, and see how they are stored. The order of the sprites, their maximum size, and the pallet to use are the only things you can't change. There are some tutorials about how to render models correctly, and make them fit with the rest of the game. http://ae.rctspace.com/tutorial/ch05.htm
  19. That's the only 'swimming pool' I know of. The game does not have a swimming pool on itself. There could probably be another ride like those bumper cars ride with different sprites, but that's it.
  20. AE's made a boat-ride with swimming peeps as sprites.
  21. https://github.com/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2/issues/3421
  22. I remember getting one after a fresh install, so I figured that might be your problem. You can check which versions you have installed by navigating to %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework. I believe PFCKrutonium's launcher needs 4.0 installed. The people here might be able to help you out more: https://gitter.im/PFCKrutonium/OpenRCT2Launcher
  23. Before installing, did you get a a message about updating your .NET framework?
  24. You might have seen this one: https://github.com/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2/issues/3360 This looks like a different bug.

That coaster looks nice, and good that there's a path going through.
