Go for it, I'm okay with changes as long as everyone else is. It might be nice to add some flowers to break up the pathing in the square as well.

I was going to do this, but I wasn't sure if this would be covered under the developers' main path of work. After all, making sure hacks work seems outside the development of any program.

@SpiffyJack I actually had a similar idea to add some trackitecture but wasn't sure how to go about it. I'll play around with the square some more on my turn. I don't really like the pillars that are currently there but I felt it needed something other than endless path.

Glad I'm not alone. I'm just wondering why it works with other tracked rides and not this one.

Has anyone else ever tried to make a mini helicopter ride in a simple loop (to emulate a kiddie ride, see below)? I have done this with countless other rides (car rides, mini roller coasters, etc.) and it usually works just fine. You set the ride to test mode, and the vehicles go around in a circle forever. When I try this with the mini helicopters, as soon as I open the ride the game freezes. Any ideas?
EDIT: The game also crashes if instead of running it I just demolish the ride.

I'm at work currently (designing real structures rather than digital ones, yay engineering!), and probably won't be able to check for about 10 hours or so, but I'll let you know if it doesn't open for me when I get a chance at home to try it.

I have the expansion packs, all the missing objects are listed as custom. You are able to open it because you happen to have the custom objects that were added, but I don't. I could hunt for them, but it would be better if all the objects were exported with the park so that anyone can open it without having to hunt for objects.
EDIT: Also, Broxzier said above that the expansion content can stay, seeing as people voted to have it. So, you didn't have to remove the dish.

I can't open this version of the park, because it seems as though I'm missing some objects. Can you make sure you have the "export plug-in objects with saved games" option checked in the settings menu and re-upload?

Sorry to bump an old thread.... but this is super cool looking. Anybody ever try taking out realistic landforms from this website:
Meant for Cities:Skylines, but looks like it could be super fun!
EDIT: On second thought, this seems like it takes huge areas as opposed to what is needed for OpenRCT2. I wonder if there's a way to pull data off of topo maps.

If we all agree to not using expansion content, we should probably have @Broxzier put a statement in the rules that we are using custom content but no expansion content, to clarify for people who may join in the future.

If the train is all in one piece it's not a shoestring, just a merge. You split the train, but usually you only have one part of the train visible - you'd hide the other, and use the second track to place track pieces that can't be placed on the main track, like the diagonal station and brake run in the Silberpfiel above.
This has got to be the most insane thing I've ever seen in RCT2. So cool!

I saw this in a park I was working on last night too. I thought it was because I didn't have any benches, but it seemed like every guest was puking, rather than the normal percentage.

Anybody actually working on an entry for this? I'm not, but it sounds cool and the deadline is coming up!

Hope your pathing around bridge will perform well and peeps wont stuck.I'll be sure to add more details as more scenery objects get added in, but I didn't want to add too many objects in one turn. And about the pathing, I was thinking the same thing. I can get rid of that ride if it becomes an issue. It'll be a good test for the pathfinding algorithms.

Anybody in the missed turn list can claim whenever the park isn't currently claimed by somebody, so you're good to go if you want to work on it now! =)
