I should be able to finish my last exam tomorrow and claim it just in time before reaching the time limit. Already thinking what I might build.....
Good luck! Feel free to take an extra 24 hours to claim if you need it- I don't mind.

I recently notice something strange within OpenRCT2. I sometimes use block brakes on a continous circuit non-block brakes mode to "defy" the brakes failure. On the vanilla RCT2, the block brakes will simply brakes the train as normal with target 4 mph. But on my OpenRCT2 v0.0.4 I notice on continous non-block brakes mode, the block brakes will stop a train when there's a train located after the block brakes.
As you see in the picture, the next trains are held up by the block brakes even on the continous circuit which should only happened when continous with block sectioned is selected.
Regards.
I don't know what's going on with the continuous circuit brakes, but if you want to prevent brake failures in OpenRCT2, all you have to do is turn on Disable Brakes Failure in the cheats window.

Small update: I extended the river somewhat more, making ti go towards the other waters that are already there.
Great bridge, there. Also, what's that brown thing at the right end of the river? Is it a peep in the river, or something else?

You said you switched ISPs- maybe you should check with them to make sure some ports aren't blocked on their network. Also, do you still have the same modem and router you used on your last ISP, or a different one?

Just to verify, AlexSalmond the other night was me. Was hoping the name change would keep off the imitators, and it very much did!

Also, thanks for posting this!

There's wolffreak's mod as a temp solution, if you're interested. I think it keeps track of IPs.

I go by Penguin on multiplayer. It appears that some people may have been using my name. This thread is for verification that this is the real me. I will post here to verify.

I found that cleaning all the puke/ litter on jensj12's tower brings the rating to about 890. Try that.
Yeah, I was playing around with it and doing that plus fixing pathing problems in a few places brings it back up to about 950. The next person to take a turn should do these things right away in the park.

I have to agree with everyone else- queue line TVs and other factors should increase or pause tolerance, but changing it outright would probably break many save games. If we're talking about breaking the game (which is going to happen anyway after the code is complete, anyway), maybe have a Fastpass-like system as a feature when we can actually do that in the game's code?

Here's a screenshot of the latest version of the park, just loaded from the forum with no changes made on a fresh install of ORCT2:
Park rating in this screenshot is 717, and it appears to hover around 650-750.

Low park rating? It has been at almost 999 all the time for many turns now.
Huh, that's funny. Whenever I load up the latest save file, it seems to be lower.

EDIT2: Splinter re-opened.
EDIT3: When adding new coasters/attractions/stalls, make sure to remove them when you actually don't use them.
I fixed that path. Peeps were getting confused.
The park rating is getting rather low. Guests can't find Stallion and Splinter, and there are a few trouble spots for pathogens issues in the park. The next person to take a turn should fix this.

This sounds strange but I modified a track and added some scenery then saved it with the same name. The old track was still in the RCT2 track file and the new track in the OpenRCT2 track file. No problem. I deleted the track from the RCT2 track file and it still shows up when I bring up the construct screen. Both tracks still show up, the old one with no scenery and the new one with scenery. I looked in the RCT2 track index file (tracks.idx) and the old track is gone. Where is the game getting the old track from and how do I get rid of the old track. I am currently on build 8efe669.
Have you tried looking in the OpenRCT2 track folder? It might be there instead.

Hopefully i wont get called "cheater" for this ;D
You're welcome.

Turn on sandbox mode (it's in the cheats menu when you click and hold on the logo). After that, open the map and there should be options to set the spawnpoint.
-
Browsing around the park, I found <warning, spoilers up ahead>
that Broxzier, Wuis, and someone else had put up eastern egg signs high up in a corner of the park.

Just noticed a pathing issue right by the park HQ, so doing a quick temporary path to fix this:

Oh, dear. You spent QUITE some time making that post! As much as I like it, I think this warrants it's own topic rather than being in the Group Park. At least I hope this doesn't become a regular thing here. A place like Park Log would be perfect for this style of news update format.
I don't mind the Pool Scenery at all. Thank you, in fact! I didn't have as much Pool scenery. All I had was random stuff I picked up from Multiplayer.
Love it how the Complaints Department is just a complex maze that brings them to the exit door of the HQ. "Thank you for your complaints sir, now you can get out."
Overall great turn, mate! HQ looks quite detailed.
Side note: SherbyWood is what the Present Day Group Park 3 was called back in Medieval Times. Not anymore. (But then again, we could make up stuff as we move on)
Thanks for the reputation!
This is a one-time thing- I won't spend as much time on posts as this time- just felt like it this time.
You're welcome! I think I picked it up either from the Community Content pack on Ginever ( https://www.ginever.net/downloads/file/17-rollercoaster-tycoon-2-community-content-pack-for-use-with-openrct2/ ) or from some map I downloaded (probably Pirate Bay- http://www.nedesigns.com/park/1330/pirate-bay/ )
That's what I was hoping for. It's also meant to evoke a maze of cubicles.
Trying to work on detail, so thanks!
Ah. I was going off what previous posters had said.

From here and everywhere, this is CNN.
Welcome to World Business Today on CNN, I'm Maggie Lake. The headlines this hour:
Activists in South India have organized massive rallies to protest the Modi government's plans to massively expand the use of coal power plants to provide more electricity to millions of poorer Indians. They say that the toll of the extra carbon emissions is too high and advocate the expansion of nuclear power and other renewables instead.
Kentucky and Oregon go to the polls today to vote in the 2016 Democratic presidential primaries for their respective states. Polls and modeling show Hillary Clinton with a slight lead over Bernie Sanders in both states, but it could still go either way.
OPEC is meeting again to attempt to reduce the supply of oil to produce more favorable prices to its members, but the outlook is not positive for any agreement on reducing supply. Low oil prices in the last year have lead to economic challenges for many major oil producing countries around the world.
Hollywood producer Taylor Gledhill has been arrested for the alleged murder of dozens of people using helicopters with suspended pinchers below to pick up and drown people (including several amusement park guests) in various bodies of water. He is expected to appear in court within the next few hours.*
These are the headlines. You're watching World Business Today on CNN, the world's news leader.
Our first business story this hour is from the world of theme parks. We go over to Jason Carroll.
Jason Carroll: The management of Sherbywood Park, a major theme park owned by coffee giant Starbucks*, after several incidents with poorly supervised staff, have decided to move their offices directly into the park to more easily directly oversee and manage the park. The new building will house executive offices and a new complaints department, along with guest services and other departments.
Spokesman Verne Troyer* (rather short): We decided to do this as a way of being more connected with our guests and employees. Being right there allows us to observe and take action to fix any problems immediately.
Various employees, however, have a more pessimistic outlook.
Anonymous employee with face blacked out and voice disguised: Come on, you expect us to believe that? It was their micromanagement on where we could go to fulfill our duties that led to problems in the first place. Plus, you know they're more concerned with their stock price- it's even on a scrolling banner on the park HQ to remind us to help keep up the price!
However, a few employees have a more positive view on things:
Douglas Powers (Park Entertainer): I mean, I don't secretly control the park or anything, but I think these changes are for the best since they can observe and take action to fix any problems immediately.*
Park guests seem not to care:
Katie Brayshaw: I'm more excited about the new animal show with sea lions they have right next to the park HQ! <waves at another guest> These sea lions are so cute! I also heard rumors about reverse freefall rides themed as missile silos. The pictures I've seen make them look so realistic!*
No matter what, it looks like guests will keep coming here. From Sherbywood Park, I'm Jason Carroll.
Maggie Lake: We now go live to Dakar, Senegal, for the opening of the first home furnishings factory to export to the U.S from Senegal. As costs rise in China, stable African countries as well as Southeast Asia have been...
===
Sorry about the long IC news write-up- got a little carried away there.
Major changes:
- Built an office building for the park's headquarters. It contains an employee cafeteria also open to guests that serves fried rice noodles and soy milk, restrooms, Sherbywood Park Guest Services (AKA an info booth), and two rides: Complaints Department, a maze, and Executive Offices, an indoor mini golf course.
- Next door is Sealions! The Show, a circus show featuring trained sealions. There's also a building to house the sealions and a large pool for them.
- Renewed all rides and cleaned up any litter and vandalism, because, why not?
- Extended the river- would really like some help on my work, since I suck at this.
Minor changes:
- Added a bunch of benches and trash bins around the new area to accommodate any overflow of guests in the cafeteria. I may have overdone it; feel free to reduce it if not needed.
- There are a bunch of funny easter eggs in the new area. Can you spot them all? Spoilers below:
- [spoilers]Two people arguing very loudly in the offices, empty desks and the employees who are supposed to be working there sunbathing on the office deck, two people blocking a hallway while holding a conversation, and sealions attacking a guest who paid to meet them while nearby people are oblivious to the guest's plight.[/spoilers]
- Added some more pool scenery to Piscine Molitor, if @ziscor doesn't mind.
- Fixed a pathing issue next to Cruise by adding a No Entry sign to the path out of Cruise's exit- for some reason, guests were trying to use that path to get elsewhere, even through it's only one square.
Issues:
Guests are having trouble finding Cruise. I don't want to mess with the paths and scenery in that area, so I will leave it to other people more skilled then me to do so.
