  1. Okay that's what i thought since i also saw a terrain map somewhere of your profile character (the dog), so i assumed you had something to do with it or knew about it. thanks.

So i guess you can use a jpeg bmp or gif? i still don't understand how it works but maybe i will someday.

  2. Did you create and draw the map by hand, or did you instead use some sort of special rct2 functionality or software to convert an image into a park terrain map? How do people do this?

  3. I downloaded all of your uploads and i didn't see anything particularly unusual. If you change your game speed to "hyper speed" you will see how park guestage fluxuates over time. The reason your parks are not increasing greatly in guest population is that you are creating one-tile-wide-path style parks. Try leveling land and making broader paths for people to walk around on and your guestage will probably increase.

Most parks reach a leveling out point in population. If you don't rearrange things or add land and rides, most parks will remain constant in population. If you do rearrange things and make more land etc. guestage will increase. If your park is not so great guestage will decrease. That's the way the game is programmed to behave  for the most part.

  4. Will there ever come a time when i will be able to import complete work bench object sets into my object selection list while playing a saved park which previously did not have those objects or object/workbench sets?

Also, will the "download these objects" feature ever actually become capable of downloading missing object files from some type of server (or where ever they would come from) to a players object list when that player is trying to open a park which contains object files they don't have? It seems that this feature currently doesn't work, it does not actually download the missing object files.

  5. Hold the control or shift button with your left hand while moving pieces with your mouse with your right hand (this might be reversed for left handed people).(

By doing this you can hold objects against wall surfaces or flat surfaces while moving them (vertically). Remember that your map is made of cubes of space, each cube has 6 faces, northwest, northeast, southwest , southeast, top and bottom.

Some times checking "disable clearance checks" in the cheats menu will help to make it easier to place pieces too.

  6. Right now, the only way to use complete scenery packs is to download them as workbenches at nedesigns.com. The work benches are .sv files, so they need to be opened as if they were a park. When you open them/ the workbench/park, all of the corresponding scenery will be available to you in your scenery menu in that park.

They are at the bottom right under 'work benches'.

  7. It means you are missing those object files from your object folder. The object files were intended to be in the park, but they are not in your object folder so they can't be loaded into the park.

You can search for object files at nedesign in the objects section of the website. Download the objects by searching their number tag/filename and place them in your object folder, and then the park should open. I didn't know scenarios could be downloaded from nedesigns, usually only saved parks are downloaded, but either way you are missing those object files.

Also, sometimes, custom object files made for a particular park, necessary for the park to load, will be provided in the zip file, or in the folder that the .sv (park file) downloads with.

If so, you will still need to copy that or those  object files from the download and place/paste them into your objects folder and then the park will be able to load.

  8. Workbenches are .sv6 files, they are the same as saved park files, so you should  place them in your saved games folder or in a subdirectory therein.

To use a work bench, run rollercoaster tycoon 2 normally and in the opening menu chose "continue playing a saved game". Now chose the desired workbench and click on it. When the park opens  you will have extra objects (associated with the particular work bench) available in your 'scenery' section at the top right of the gameplay screen. When you save your park and reopen it in the future, the same extra scenery will be saved with the park.
