Leudimin Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 (edited) Okay, I'm done. I had already planned to add a station building to Looping Extravaganza anyway, or at least to cover the queue. I've also repainted it, so now it's almost impossible to notice it when zoomed all the way out . Then I built a grav force ride with some gardens surrounding it. It doesn't take a lot of effort to make an area look nice. I had originally planned to build this on the space Deurklink placed his latest hack. Claimed: - Queue: @giraty. Jochem Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 I think im going to overhaul my area a bit when it's my turn. Im not completely happy with the result 1

Jochem Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 @Deurklink well i wanted to make it look more like the baron at the efteling. And yesterday i figured out how i can combine 2 different coasters together, so i want to take another shot at it while expanding the area a bit :).

Behind everything you place, there should be a thought which either confirms or opposes the idea. To be fair, the new area you build looks quite empty, and doesn't seem like much effort was put in there at all. Try doing some more with the paths, fences and walls, to make it really look nice. With the arbitrary ride types cheat you can also change it into a twister coaster halfway through the track, and give it some inversions, without the need for a merge (if by "making it look more like baron at the efteling" you meant you wanted inversions in the ride . 2

Correct! Haha, im trying that but it says it cant open the ride because the track is not finished. I can test it because i have enabled that option but opening doesn't work. Do you know how? @Deurklink Edited January 11, 2018 by Jochem 1

I can test it because i have enabled that option but opening doesn't work. Do you know how? There's several ways to do it. The simplest method does not involve any merging. 1. Keep building until the place where you want an inversion. Then enable the cheat Allow arbitrary ride type changes. 2. Select Twister Roller Coaster and press Apply 3. Build inversions. 4. Finish track, and change ride type back to vertical coaster. You should be able to test and open ride normally now. Good thing about this method is that it is considered 1 track and block brakes should work normally. If you want to do it by merging, you either have to add invisible track to complete the circuit around the merged parts or you have to use boat hire mode. 3
Jochem Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 @Deurklink awesome thanks for making a little tutorial! I can work on it now 1

I 100% agree with Broxzier on this. Go look at my recent post in Build Logs.... Those two screens combined took me into game year 50, and there's not much else in the park other than some layouts and basic planning. I'm not saying you need to place that level of effort in, but some more thought and planning goes a long way. Most players could do what you did last turn in less than 10 minutes, and you had the park for more than 24 hours. I don't want to sound overly harsh here, and I want you to keep building. Just think about things a little more, and put effort in. If you aren't feeling like playing or don't have any inspiration, there's no shame in dropping to the missed turn list and coming back when you're ready or have ideas you'd like to implement. 3
Jochem Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 @Deurklink Thanks to your tips and some screenshots from the internet i created this on a different map. Now i can place it on the map when it is my turn. Thanks! 3

giraty Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 (edited) I just spent 4 frickin hours on group park. For some of you that might seems small but for me it felt like eternity. GAOOO. As a reverse of last week, I decided to build hacky ride, and.... success! Figuring it out took an eternity and some help from wizards.... but it's done! Pastel colours themed, a simple ride that goes around and around. Details can be seen in the next screenshot. The ride named Giratorio, which is actually my word for username inspiration! A Portuguese word meaning spinning. That is such a good tribute indeed. Next to it is Mine Plunge ride. Supposedly, you dove down inside an abandoned mine (in reality it's enterprise type ride but ask the creator). There you can see the details of the underground part. I didn't make it invinsible on purpose because it's underground anyway and the most important is you can see it just in case. Though the pathing seems killed..... I don't know how to fix it rip. *Summons path masters*. Added some minor details on the Hide and Seek. On the far end of the park (Near xbalogan's part), a hideaway place for pirates. There's village hall, some cottages, a cooking center, a storage room, and another storage hole leading to treasures inside the cliffes (supposedly!) EDIT: I forgot to decorate the Giratorio ride itself, so wait for me.... Here it is Giratorio decorated... With a proud sign of Giraty above it! P.S. The guests above the tower is dummies, not real guest (unless you want to build path there hehe!) I think we should try to link xbalogan's zone, it's looking good and need just few stalls to complete it. It would probably look better with the station invisible and first car invisible but i guess this took you long enough to get it to work properly By the way, to make the entrance and exit invisible, you used a corrupt element. It's better to simply select "No entrance" from the list in the paint menu. I couldn't really find anything wrong with the pathing.. Those peeps on top look weird, I'm sure you could come up with something better Edited January 12, 2018 by Deurklink 1

Wuis Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 @Deurklink I'm ashamed about you and that my brain couldn't find out what you meant. 2
giraty Posted January 13, 2018 Posted January 13, 2018 (edited) LOL I was so tired that I forgot there's "no entrance option in ORCT2, duh! I got 2 exams yesterday before working in the park. What you think as catwalk is supposedly how guest shoukd enter the ride by following that path, the stairs at the end of the walk is platform to enter the ride but it ended up as scenery, doesn't look bad in the end @DeurklinkHow to make the first car invinsible? EDIT: If you're asking about the stairs that goes into the ride's tower, it's maintenance stairs that mechanics can use to reach the columns @Wuis Edited January 13, 2018 by giraty 1
