  1. The scenario worked fine in RCT1, but not in OpenRCT2, which means it's an issue that should be reported.

    Group Park 6

As a final additions to our space facility, Lost Gravity arose in an improvised martian area to give our guests a chance to experiece a space flight. Lying on their backs, guests will fly through the area, going upside down multiple times. I have not forgotten! A coaster has been built and Into Space! was fixed once again (riders may go backwards up to 4 times during a single ride). Scenery takes some time to get right. Park will be uploaded tomorrow, but it may be close to the 48 hour limit.

  5. Could you check if this is because of the vertical wall in the terrain?
  6. It crashes the game currently. It will eventually be fixed, but it may take a few days/months/years. If you really want to build a track design in MP: go single player for a second, place the coaster and load the save in MP.

Of course observation towers can be higher than the highest attraction in the park, but 3x as high is a bit extreme. The highest attraction + 10m should be enough. Can we limit it to +50 in-game units in new group parks? Anything that is just a vertical line from the bottom to the top of the screen looks bad to me. That even includes a diagonal lifthill and other long diagonal tracks, but those sometimes don't have the quick-fix option that observation towers do have.

The OpenRCT2 Group Park 6.67.sv6 Do we seriously need a 180m high observation tower in every park?
  9. That is the same as 'loading lots of saves' and fragmenting the image list as described by IntelOrca in the issue. Thanks for reporting!
  10. If there is no scenario folder inside the OpenRCT2 folder, create one and it should work. Creating a custom scenario in-game also does the trick.

I've added a fallback mechanism that works after any number of safety cut-outs (the first one I tried only worked the first time due block brakes). Force a safety cut-out shortly after a train is over the top of the lifthill and see. I've added a couple of attractions to the facility that also contains Into Space! and added a ton of scenery around it. The OpenRCT2 Group Park 6.60.sv6
  12. Transport rides are just normal rides to guests and aren't considered in the pathfinding. In other words, you can't have distinct area's in your park only connected by transport rides. There are plans on improving this though.

  14. It is possible to buy them together but not the triple thrill pack. I have a normal 3-pack (6-pack with RCT1/2+expansions) at home. Welcome Glitch!

I'll be out of town next week. Please move me to the missed turn list.
  16. https://github.com/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2/issues/6100 You may need to use the tile inspector to fix this, as the normal path tool may not work properly at the moment. Removing and placing the entrances again may also work.
  17. Yep, you may do that. To prevent more complicated tricks, I've excluded the copy/paste tool from the tile inspector. This game has way too many options to cheat stuff...
  18. Yes. I loved that one. Even though it's far from realistic, it was quite fun to look at. Anyways, I'll just allow anything that splits a train and merges it again. Use it for whatever you'd like. Yes:
  19. No, I meant one with both parts of the train completing a track and coming back together before the station. Factory theme. Is that also called shoestring or should I edit the rules to use the correct name? Tbh I haven't even thought of shoestring coasters where only one part of the train remains visible. As long as the cars come back together the rules currently don't block it.
  20. Tutorial: How to build a proper shoestring coaster: First, build this: Then disable clearance checks and first build a s-bend connecting the two tracks, then complete the track from the station (the order is important!). Then finish the track. You'll experience some difficulties along the way, but most should be fixable. Note that, even though I tried to make it perfect, the 2nd part of the train enters the station slightly too early (visible after 4 rides). For full bonus points, make sure the train remains intact even after thousands of rides.
  21. @YoloSweggLord @Wuis Tagging you since you missed the last contest. @X7123M3-256 I remember you once posted a nice shoestring coaster, but I couldn't find it. Can you post a link to it here as an example?
  22. The next CCC is here! The theme is this CCC is... Complex Coaster Contest! The goal: Build a complex coaster within the given set of rules. Since this is a complex coaster contest, the coaster must make use of the "shoestring" technique. Basic rules: The coaster may not use more than 165 tiles. This is calculated by multiplying the numbers shown on the select coaster design screen (a rectangle including entrance/exit). Valid options are 2x82, 3x55, 4x41, 5x33, 6x27, 7x23, 8x20, 9x18, 10x16, 11x15 and 12x13. It must be possible to build a valid path (without cheats) from the entrance and the exit (entrance and exit may be rotated). The coaster type and all scenery must be available in vanilla RCT2 (NCSO, no WW/TT). Contest specific rules: The cars of the train must be split at some point, and later merged together (try to make them line up again properly, but a small gap is allowed) The coaster should run properly after resetting Track must be build above the ground on a flat landscape (if you want to hide one car for the shoestring, you may do that underground) Using scenery is allowed, but not required All in-game available tools are allowed, except the copy/paste tools in the tile inspector Judging: After the contest is over, everyone can vote for the best coaster. There will however be bonus points awarded for good shoestrings (if the ride can be left running for hours without issues). If the shoestring works for 1 ride, you may submit your coaster. If it works for at least 5 rides, the coaster will get 0-1 bonus votes. If it keeps working forever, the coaster will get 0-3 bonus votes. The exact number of bonus votes depends on the number of coasters submitted and the number of votes cast. Participating: Select a flat landscape and build your coaster on it. Once you're done post the save file and at least one and up to four screenshots/video's in this topic. Remember that you'll want people to vote for your coaster, so make sure it looks good. I will post a link to all youtube-video's on the voting page. You may not submit another coaster (or a newer version of your coaster) within 1 week of your last submission. There is no limit to the number of submissions per account, as long as there's at least a week between each pair of submissions (thus the max is 11). Timeline: The contest will be open for submissions until November 7th, 2017. Previous CCC's: Compact Coaster Contest Christmas Coaster Contest Spread the word and may the best coaster win!
  23. In RCT3 I managed to make a good octuple racer. Those thing are great to watch and make. For perfect syncing, try to make the tracks use exactly the same pieces in the same order, but sometimes left/right switched. This also keeps them synced: Keep up the good work!
  24. I'd like to see all synced coasters in action. Can you post a video and/or save file?
  25. I was talking to Nick. Next to the quote button, there's an edit button to edit your post. No need to keep an incorrect sentence in your post (and quote it to make it extra visisble) or to quadruple-post.
