I was planning to build a station at one of the points, and now I see someone already placed a sign "Build a station" there. Did anyone reserve this or something?

No, I placed those signs to encourage people to build stations, actually.  Go ahead!  :D

Super random question - can I get rid of the brick building in the middle of the map? My little plan has me replacing the shops in the building. I didn't know if that was a permanent structure or if it could be removed.

I built that, and I would prefer to keep it.

@Broxzier  Object selection window? Sorry... it's been a long time since I've played. Need a bit of a refresher for certain things.

The objection selection window is a tool available in the debug menu for OpenRCT2 which you can enable in Options.  It allows you to add new ride types and objects to a game.

So I'm off all day tomorrow (Wednesday). That might be the best time for me to take over if no one has an issue with it.

Go ahead; you're in the missed queue.

  5. Added benches and garbage bins everywhere to avoid any more littering and vomit issues.  Also deleted stalls that were near other stalls, to free up ride slots.   Built simple buildings for existing stalls.

    The OpenRCT2 Group Park 6.06a.sv6

    Claimed: -

Queue: @WobblyRails Broxzier, RedScope53, Jochem, Wuis, Tune, SpiffyJack, imlegos, giraty
    Missed: jensj12, Cascadia, TheMightyClem

@cascadia It'd be more handy that I add you to the missed list, as else confusion might be caused which leads to people accidently or purposely skipping the queue.

The reason why I'm doing it now is that I want to be able to take one last turn before I don't have access to a desktop computer for a while, and being in the missed list gives me an opportunity to do that flexibly since I don't know how fast the queue will move.

EDIT: I just realized something. Look at the smaller screenshot. Even though the entrance is on the end of the path, there are benches blocking it. I think this is the cause of the problem. Guests don't seem to have an issue going through the benches but the Mechanic thinks the path is blocked.

Rebuild the path and the path should reconnect to the exit.

    Update.

I'm making a kart track in this area which I've appropriately named Kalimari Desert

Only I'm still a bit confused about what scenery we're allowed to use. I noticed there's not much scenery selected yet, but we also did the strawpoll to figure out which sets were the most populair. Am I only allowed to pick scenery that ended up high in that list?

Either way, I'm gonna need some pieces from the mining theme probably. :D

    Nice work!  :D

Also, since the Mine theme is literally the one with the most votes, go ahead and just add the entire theme!

Question.. How set are we on the trams? I've got an idea for the main pathways and/or tram(or other) lines to be sunken, but with the same idea of the 4way being there... thoughts?

The trams are already sunken in the files that we've been working with, so in your idea, we would have to simply sink the pathways as well.  I like the idea of guests looking down at the trams from above, so I think we should stick with the current map, but your idea is pretty good as well.

I'm used to design very contrasting landscape such as snow in the middle of desert, forest in a outer planet surface, lava in snow..... :P

    Snow in desert:

    antarctic-desert.jpg

Antarctica is a desert since it receives very little rain or snow- you only see all that snow because it builds up over hundreds of years as it didn't melt.

    Forest on outer planet's moon:

Scientists suspect that many moons of gas giants close to their suns in other solar systems are excellent places to find life.

    Lava in snow:

Just have a volcano erupt in the Arctic.

As you can see, all these scenarios are actually realistic.  :P  ;)

Are you guys trying to stay away from large mountains? I feel like it'd be cool to have a larger hill in the east quad with a larger body of water. That was it can follow the path thats already there. Kind of like a river heading away from the hill?

I like your idea, but mountain implies steep slopes, and I think we should avoid that because it's harder for people to build on top of steep terrain.

    @cascadia

What do you think at this point, more height here or there? more or less water? raise entire areas? .. also notice the grid at which (I would use) for main paths.. How's that work for you?

    Edit:

Do you think I should vaporize the East Quad, or does it work as a water source for the park... maybe scale it down... ? I kinda like it, but this is more than me.

The hill height and water is just right.  The grid is also fine.  The only things I would suggest changing are making just one (any of them) hill range bigger in size (not higher, just bigger as in more hills covering more area in just one spot) and making the water source on top of the big hill a spring, to explain where the water comes from.

At this point I divided the map 22x22 areas... Obviously you can see what I was initially partial to...   5924d810988f9_TheOpenRCT2GroupPark62017-05-2315-48-15.thumb.png.c74b7ef75ed2a1d26039cd341910185a.png

Currently the map now looks like this....

My concept is to give a different terrain to each plot.  Please give feedback at this point.... :D

I like this idea of having a different terrain in each plot.
