OpenRCT2 Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Hello, I'd like to make a death park However, every time an attraction crashes, the ride automatically closes. Is there any way to keep the ride opened up after it crashes? I hope someone can help me out.
X7123M3-256 Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 I am not aware of any cheat that prevents rides automatically closing after a crash. There is "no test crashes" which automatically resets a ride if it would otherwise crash, but I think it only works in test mode. You can reopen a crashed ride immediately after a crash. However, very few guests will ride a ride that has recently crashed. You can override this behaviour with the "Reset crash status" cheat. 1
imlegos Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Why is your username set as "OpenRCT2"... Seems either extremely unimaginative, or very suspicious... 1

Nothing wrong with it, people do it all the time. Could be a serious account or a throwaway account. Some people don't use the same username on all places, some just pick one as they have to
ajk Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 If it's a coaster, could you not modify a section of the track? Would it not then be considered a new ride?
X7123M3-256 Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 (edited) I think it renews the age but not the crash status - I've certainly had guests complain of unsafe rides after significant modifications. Edited January 18, 2017 by X7123M3-256 2
jensj12 Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 The best option is to demolish and rebuild the entire ride. I've seen a manual recommend changing the name, but I doubt it helps it all. Rebuilding parts of the ride doesn't renew it's age, age is only renewd constantly if the ride hasn't been opened yet.
Broxzier Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 There is a cheat that resets the crash status, but that won't help you keep the ride open when it crashes again.

YoloSweggLord Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 Well he said he's making a death park so I think that qualifies as 'sandbox.'
