Error when trying to launch RCT2 via launcher
RuneLaenen replied to kylej628's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
Where does it ask for registry keys? You will need to have the original game installed AND it has be ran at least once. -
Yes make sure you both push it to the translation repo (/OpenRCT2/Localisation) on Github. This way you can update your own local repo by doing a rebase. In case you need help with that, just ask it on the Gitter chat and someone will help you with the git stuff.

Oh wow, I never tried the thing with the handyman. Quite genius actually :D

I think the last development build can't be launched
RuneLaenen replied to kangoeroe's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
You're right. I'll open an Issue on github. For now I'd say, try playing in english :p https://github.com/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2/issues/1928 -
I've moved it :) Seems cool to do :D

The same here, but with an AMD card so it will probably not have anything to do with that :p -

OS? Computer configuration? Intel/AMD?It works correctly on my computer so... Also, if you keep the "openrct2.exe werkt niet meer" screen open a minute, does it give you an option to export an error log or something? If so, you can always post such a thing :) -
Blow our minds away! :D

About the ciryllic font. Talk to IntelOrca on gitter https://gitter.im/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2He can add a different font to use when Russian is selected. Just talk to him, he'll help you :)

There have been two new builds since when you posted the post. Has it been fixed now? -
So... That's that :p I'd say, try to do better... If you can :D

My AVG thinks the laincher is a treat
RuneLaenen replied to kangoeroe's topic in Problems, Bugs and Feedback
Yep me too, I too can recommend Avast. The free version can annoy you a lot with messages, but enabling the game/silent mode fixes that :D -

The launcher hasn't been updated in months... Are you running the normal or the portable version? When did you download it? -

Welcome, in case you want to help developing, check out our developer page (you can find a link in the footer)

Yeah, like IntelOrca said here, you can use custom objects, but you can't actually choose what they sell. (only if you create your own custom objects)

That's why AWStats has higher numbers than Google Analytics. You can't block AWStats :)

Hi Thomas, welcome to the website! You're not the only Belgian here (me too :D ) and also not the only rollercoaster fan I presume :p
-
I think this can, partly, be done by using custom objects. However, being able to choose what to sell would have to be programmed in the game itself I'm affraid. I've opened an Issue/Feature request on github: https://github.com/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2/issues/1894

Did the game still run after that? If not, it should work now if you try it again. The changelog should only be shown once after a major version change.
-
At the moment the game does indeed still need the graphics files from the original game to run. In case you don't have it, you can buy it very cheaply on GOG or Steam. It's also possible to use the free Mini Game version of the game, but I haven't tested that myself. A guide for 100% free playing with the Mini Game + OpenRCT2 can be found on the wiki: https://github.com/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2/wiki/Required-RCT2-filesHowever I still recommend you to buy RCT2 for a few bucks from GOG.com and use the full game :)

I think the gui buttons are going to be recreated, and an extra zoom level is going to be made by upscaling the sprites. At least that is one version I once read somewhere. This can off course only be acchieved after full decompilation.
