It is normal, yes. macOS will display this error for any application, unless the developers buy an expensive certificate from Apple. As long as you download your release from our GitHub page, or openrct2.io or openrct2.org, it will be malware-free.

Has been fixed in the meantime.

We (the devs) have no direct access to this (community-run) website, so we can’t fix that. Only @GingerAdonis can.
The official changelog (which is up-to-date) is here: https://github.com/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2/blob/develop/distribution/changelog.txt -
I have reported the bug here: https://github.com/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2/issues/15151

There is window that lists all the shortcuts, including the one for the screenshots. It also lets you set your own if desired. That window has been in the game since 1999.
As for your error, you will have to be more specific. _Which_ prebuilts are we talking about?
-
I have been able to reproduce the bug. The error is not difficult to understand, but surprisingly deep, unfortunately. It will most likely be tackled as part of a refactor.

That is just a limitation of not having the Ladybird and Log trains ported, I’m afraid. I don’t think Forest Frontiers has the Rocket Cars available, so the Classic Mini won’t show up.
When those trains are ported over, this issue should go away by itself.
Edit: I think I can explain it simpler. The bottom line is this: we are aware of the problem, we are working on it, but the last pieces of the puzzle are quite tedious to solve, but we will solve it, and then you will have a proper replacement for the Steel Mini RC.

If you have Rocket Cars available, then the coaster type should be available (example from Megaworld Park):
Otherwise it won’t show up - yet.
-
The drawing error is inherited from RCT2. We’d want to fix it at some point, but those kind of issues are not easy.
We have already added back the Steel Mini RC. It’s called the Classic Mini Coaster and it has access to all elements you‘d expect. However, until someone also ports the RCT1 trains, only the Rocket Cars are available for it.

For the benefit of others with the same question: just enable Sandbox mode and the road becomes available in the Footpaths window.

If your Mel’s World save freezes up every time you load it, then I’d like you to upload it. We can investigate that.

I have some custom scenarios that include pictures of the maps that extract to OpenRCT2/scenario/Pictures
Is there any way to display these pictures in the scenario selection window? I swear it used to show these underneath the scenario description and goals, am i just going crazy?
You’re not going crazy. That ship has sailed.
Joking aside: no version of RCT1 or RCT2 has shown an image there. For OpenRCT2, it is a feature we’d want to implement at some point, but so far it hasn’t been implemented.
What you might have seen, though, is the Six Flags logo on some scenarios:
(OpenRCT2 has removed this branding.)
-
Is it an actual crash or a freeze? Can you determine a set of steps to reproduce? Please also upload the scenario if you have.
-
Are you able to find a set of steps to reproduce the problem? I know you mentioned building in the Track Designer, but can you get more specific?
-
Could you provide your OpenRCT2 version and build hash? They are listed in the title screen.
-
These crashes should all have been addressed in v0.3.4.1, released yesterday. Could you check that?

It doesn't seem to open after downloading the release on Android. Anyone else having this problem?
This was because of a mistake on our side. The download should now be fixed. Could you test that?

Ok, we just released v0.3.4 today. You can download it here: https://github.com/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2/releases/download/v0.3.4/OpenRCT2-0.3.4-android-arm.apk
Can you install that version and check if the issue persists?
-
Why didn’t you just download the missing object? OpenRCT2 simply includes a few objects that were originally released as DLC or custom content. Attempting to load up a save on an installation that does not have that object is always going to cause an error message.

No. Forums are, RCT is not. The RCT subreddit and our Discord server are active, for example.

No, that is your processor architecture. (64-bit ARM)
Do you still have the original APK file? What is the filename?

Could you tell me how I do this? Or show me with some pictures? I don't know where to find the OpenRCT2 scenario folder. My laptop uses winRAR so maybe this is why. Also, I bought the RCT1 game through Stream so if that makes it any easier just let me know. I'm really bad with computers
It seems you have the RCT1 scenarios twice, then:
1. The screenshot shows recreations (made for people who don’t own RCT1)
2. You bought RCT1 on Steam.
Using a real RCT1 is always better, because it gives you much more than just scenarios. You will need to link RCT1. You can do that as follows:- Open the Options window (see the top right of the title screen)
- Go to the “Advanced” tab (the one with the spanner)
- At the bottom, there is an option to set the RCT1 path. Click it.
-
Now navigate to the path where Steam put the RCT1 files. By default, this is
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rollercoaster Tycoon Deluxe
- The game should now ask you to restart the game. Do this.
Now you should have access to RCT1 scenarios, land types and opaque water.

FYI, I don't have RCT1 files.
That would explain it. The feature relies on RCT1 files.
RCT1 is quite cheap these days, so I recommend getting it. Besides this feature, it will also give you access to its scenarios, extra land types and (in the future) the missing trains.

Thanks for your reply. I meant I was just trying to view TsubakiharaYuuji's Kingda-ka style coaster. I tried putting it in Documents>openrct>track>Kingda Ka.td6 but cannot find it when I go in the track editor and try opening various coaster types. Is it a vertical coaster or a hyper. I tried both but it seems to not be showing.
It should either be a Hyper-Twister (not to be confused with Hyper Coaster, which is not the same) or a (Steel) Twister roller coaster.
Game thinks it "quit unexpectedly" when I told it to quit

If your games save properly, then you don’t need to worry about potentially losing data. At worst, the game could corrupt index files or the configuration file.
Nevertheless, we have seen more reports about this and do intend to fix it. However, that’s made difficult due to this error only occurring on macOS, and Apple making big changes to how macOS works in Big Sur.
