Muting sound

Was wondering if there could be a quick button to mute the sound alike RCT1 had.

I often used it as I tend to watch a movie or series or listen music or voicechat with others while playing games, usually a quick click is faster than changing the menu settings

Have no idea if it's that's necessary, there is a ton of buttons in the top toolbar already

Try to check the "Disable audio on focus lost" in the "Option" tab in "Settings", that should be enough if you minimize the game

Maybe a shortcut instead of a toolbar button? That would not populate the toolbar any further.

That'd be nice too Rune! Even though I don't feel like the toolbar's that overpopulated, a shortcut wouldn't take away any places and you'd have a quicky to mute music

I think the point is multitasking, maining the game while having a movie or video on the side.

Or as OP said, having the game easily muted while having something like TeamSpeak or Skype running to talk with people.

@RuneLaenen: Good luck Should be quite easy to make, just have to find the right spot where to place it.

What I would like to see is an option to decrease the volume of the main theme music as well as the other sounds. I know it's not that often one is at the main menu and I could just turn off the theme, but I quite like the theme, it just seems disproportionately loud.

Yeah, music has eventually gotten it's independence from sound, but the title still isn't linked to either... this seems like a minor problem, but when you try to watch a twitch stream while logging in to a server, it's really annoying. I'm not sure if it's even disabled upon losing focus.

It seems to have been added in, at least, we have the ability to ad a shortcut key to mute sound in the options menu. Navigate to the controls and interface tab, click on shortcut keys, and scroll down to "mute sound" where you can specify the shortcut key.
