Ukichan Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 Hello there! Is there a way to stop the game speed from automatically speeding up? Don't get me wrong, I think it's an amazing feature, but it working by itself is kinda annoying to me. Cheers!
TCE Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 (edited) Automatically speeding up? That's never happened to me. I don't believe that's even a feature, maybe it's something your end? If not, my apologies. Edited September 3, 2018 by TCE 1

I only touch the keyboard to type the name of rides, or something. Isn't there a to modify a file to block/disable this?
VincentsAnimations Posted September 8, 2018 Posted September 8, 2018 Do you have any videos of this? It would be helpful to see EXACTLY what you’re saying. Also I’m getting a little lost in reading your posts...I’m a bit of a freak with punctuation.
Deurklink Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 The game never speeds up automatically for me, only when i accidentally press the + button.. 1
lot61 Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 If you're in a particularly busy section of the park, the game may slow down if your computer can't handle everything. Then it will seem to speed up when you go to a relatively empty part of the park. On a related note, I noticed that when my frame rates drop to 30, roller coaster motion looks a lot more natural to me. At the normal 40 fps, everything looks a little too sped up. Then I noticed that in-game seconds are faster than real seconds by a factor of about 5/4, looking at coaster data. This is true in vanilla, too. Any reason why that is?

I removed all the keyboard shortcuts; only the ones that I need will have a shortcut. This is probably something you might be interested in trying.

Sorry for being late, had some technical issues here and there. Here's the video OpenRCT2 10_09_2018 17_40_38.mp4
VincentsAnimations Posted November 19, 2018 Posted November 19, 2018 Unfortunately, this is where I’m no longer able to help. @Gymnasiast is a dev and he (or she) can help you more than I can.

Any reason why that is? 40 FPS is indeed the framerate of the original game. You would honestly need to ask Chris Sawyer why he chose the time scale and speed that he did.
