hispacoder
Hi! Is the limit exceeded 256 rides ? thanks! Link to comment
X7123M3-256
No, the limit is still 255 rides Link to comment
Culbrelai
Does this include stalls/shops or only literal "rides" Link to comment
imlegos
Stalls are counted as attractions. You could find the answer by just playing. Link to comment
YoloSweggLord
The limits are hardcoded into the .sv6 save format. We will be unable to remove them until we switch to a new save file format. Link to comment

Although I bet the UI would not support someone picking every single theme group (which I would like to do, more variety for mah parks) so the devs would have to expand that too. Can hardly wait for .sv7 =P Link to comment
Krutonium
iirc SV7 was taken by a different RCT2 mod. Perhaps .OpenSV6? Link to comment

Krutonium
I forget what it is called, but it basically changed some stuff like adding new terrain and stuff. Link to comment
X7123M3-256
Could it have been RCTModified? I don't know if that changed the file extension though. Link to comment
YoloSweggLord
I highly doubt it. It looks like all rctmodified did was change the g1.dat file. In fact the download page on RCTGo says that to uninstall it you only need to replace the modified G1.dat file with your backup. Link to comment
X7123M3-256
That is all it did. But it's the only other RCT2 mod I can think of. I'd be very interested if there was one that got as far as changing the file format. Edited September 14, 2016 by X7123M3-256 Link to comment

X7123M3-256
FreeRCT is not an RCT2 mod nor reimplementation. Aside from the name, it is about as closely related to RCT2 as Theme Parkitect is (although it does use a 2D engine instead of 3D rendering as in Parkitect). Link to comment
YoloSweggLord
I realized it was a standalone game rather than a mod. I was wondering if maybe it used the .SV7 save filetype. Link to comment
X7123M3-256
I don't know that you can actually save a game in FreeRCT yet; I had a brief browse through the source and couldn't see anything that looked serialization related. Development on that project is very slow; it never really attracted much attention, even before OpenRCT2. Edited January 24, 2017 by X7123M3-256 Link to comment
YoloSweggLord
I couldn't find anything either, but it's the only thing I've found in a while that seemed like a likely taker of the .sv7 format. Link to comment
Foxbox
it dosnt really matter, what the suffix is called. Just dont encode it. If it is possible, to add a custom save-file, make it readable (like XML or Json) or at least give us a hint how it is compressed, in case it has to be used in hex. ... most companies are like: Hey you got a problem with your save-file. Now have fun guessing what compression we have used. Link to comment
