CharlieP Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Just wondering, would it possible to have an option to modify the basic color palette of the game? The in game colors are ok, but think of the color creations and combinations! Just wondering
X7123M3-256 Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 This is actually already possible, it's just that in the vanilla game it's only used to change water colors. You can create a DAT file with the palette you want, and set that as the water type for the park. This doesn't seem to be that frequently used, possibly because there are limits to how much you can change the palette without making existing objects look awful, but I've seen a couple of parks use this to create a grayscale effect.
Broxzier Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Most colour pallet DAT files only change the water, but there are a few that change the entire pallet. The one I attached to this post is my favourite, it gives the game a night-y feeling (when not using the day/night cycle). WTRHFILT.DAT
ziscor Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 (edited) In the future I'd love to see a broader palette for the game, when we are ready to take that leap towards a better file format perhaps. Edited April 27, 2016 by ziscor
