  1. Heya, so I've been watching some Twitch streams (and attempting to do one myself) on OpenRCT2 and notice that the !news command is broken. I know it's not the most important thing, but it is a broken feature

Also, how possible would it be to create a sort of !goal command that pulls the data of the scenario name & goal from the file and make the bot say it?

  2. Hello, today I am going to teach you the basics of the Tile Inspector tool featured in OpenRCT2.

The Tile Inspector is a tool that allows the player to edit the data of items on a tile. This guide will be going over some of the basics of the Tile Inspector

    The Toolbar

    59a6f2fb89fb5_TileInspectorBar.png.2507b3b49406b834c12475f1357b0f95.png

    A: Tile Cordinates

    B: Paste copied item

    C: Copy selected item

D: Sort items on tile by height

    E: Rotate selected item

F: Sort item in list (Affects visual data)

    G: Delete selected item

H: Add corrupted object (Makes item directly above invisible; useful for minor tweaks on things like stalls)

    Modifying Land

    59a6f2fe8a2d3_TileInspectorSurface.png.d0a676d5e53bbe8313af77299d9ee104.png

Base Height: Shows how high the tile is on the map

The Diagonal Check Box: Only used on the type of land featured.

4 Check Boxes: These indicate weather the corner is raised or not.

Surface Details: This shows what terrain paints are active, the water level, and weather the tile is owned by the park

    Paths

Sloped Check Box: Toggles if the path is sloped or not (based on connected edges)

Connected Edges Check Boxes: This dictates which sides of the path are going to the end of the tile, this can be used to create 1-way paths, 1 can/lamped stairs and several other things

Path Details: Shows what kind of path it is, and what path scenery items are attached.

    Scenery

Slope: Changes how the wall is sloped; only works with some tiles (All base game tiles below)

Wall Details: displays what 'type' of wall the wall is, and weather there is text attached or not

  3. Saved rides.

From what I can tell, this is restricted because either A. MP is supposed to be a show of skill over time, which makes using stuff already made beforehand pointless.

    B. possibly game crashing

    C. easily exploitable for trolling.

  4. ...I'm slightly getting the feeling you just don't understand how to play pay for entry scenarios...

    1. the ammount of guests that come into your park is more relient on how big the park itself is, not how many guests have left (Otherwise, you'd be stuck at like 1-2 guests for most scenarios)

    2. Most scenarios don't prohibit advertisement. Use this to get a larger influx of guests coming in.

    3. Using stalls to make them give more money is helpful ESPECIALLY balloon stalls, as guests will frequently lose their balloons.

    4. You can also exploit closing and reopening the park in order to get more guests to pay the entry fee. Though this is not required, I have completed several scenarios without doing this.

  5. I mentioned prior while actually playing on a MP with you, but I'll repeat myself;

Watching how others play the game and build rides is a good way to learn how to do it yourself. I'd recomend Fluxtrance's RCT2: Building the Mega Park series (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLp0_X5SUqST0W-LtGMmT5qgzjzspahMCX)

If you're more interested in the "hardcore" side of the community New Element is a good place to look

Side note: What version of RCT2 do you have? Base, Triple Thrill, Base+Time Twister, Base+Wacky Worlds, Base+WW+TT?

  6. Hey, so recently I've been noticing an odd bug where a large majority of the guests spawn wearing purple shirts.

As can be seen, we don't even have T-Shirt stalls.

NOTE: So far I've only experinced this on Sky's MP server (Mainly because I haven't played much of anywhere else)

    Versions occuring in: 63fbd13

Steps to replicate: Just play game
