djwessie Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 Hi Guys, I have set the following in my router: But even when i disable my antivirus or firewall it doesn't show up as a server. This are the settings in my OpenRCT-2 version. Still my buddies are not able to see the server. What am i doing wrong at this point?
MonkeyPaws Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 Are you all using the same development version of OpenRCT2?
djwessie Posted August 26, 2018 Author Posted August 26, 2018 Even when I do a server with no password nobody join's in.
MonkeyPaws Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 I can see if I see you... is it called "Test"? When you start it and then open another game... do you see yourself in the server list? ...that's how I make sure I'm running...
djwessie Posted August 26, 2018 Author Posted August 26, 2018 test, join, test without password in leafy lake
djwessie Posted August 26, 2018 Author Posted August 26, 2018 Tested to run another game to find me, can't see myself.
djwessie Posted August 26, 2018 Author Posted August 26, 2018 No even with the firewall and antivirus turned completely shut, the server won't show up in the menu.
MonkeyPaws Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 huh... it looks like you've got your port forwarding right, but not familiar with that router... try setting yourself up as the DMZ host and try it again.
djwessie Posted August 26, 2018 Author Posted August 26, 2018 This is a Router/Modem combination. A Experiabox V10. It shares TV/Phone/Internet all over the same box. It is says here on a router finding program, it is a Microsoft Tactio Alpha Router 1 minute ago, MonkeyPaws said: huh... it looks like you've got your port forwarding right, but not familiar with that router... try setting yourself up as the DMZ host and try it again.
djwessie Posted August 26, 2018 Author Posted August 26, 2018 I have to say, just like this, i runned servers before with these settings.
MonkeyPaws Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 Yeah, your port forwarding is right, you have an open port... you're running the same version as I am... it should be working, so I'm a bit stumped myself too.
djwessie Posted August 26, 2018 Author Posted August 26, 2018 Maybe a technical issue in the program?
djwessie Posted August 26, 2018 Author Posted August 26, 2018 Or does it work for you to start a server?
MonkeyPaws Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 I have the same version as you from your screenshot... it is working for me right now... I'm "Crazy Monkey's Free Build" in the server list.
djwessie Posted August 26, 2018 Author Posted August 26, 2018 I could not finish my Intalauncher cause your server got offline
MonkeyPaws Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 (edited) Yes, sorry... I'm having some internet problems here today... might be the heat... Edited August 26, 2018 by MonkeyPaws
jensj12 Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 Try canyouseeme.org to check if port forwarding is the problem.

djwessie Posted August 26, 2018 Author Posted August 26, 2018 When i have the windows defender firewall turned off, and Malwarebytes turned off, it still result in no server show up. Now i am lost.
MonkeyPaws Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 Yeah, I'm lost on that too... I suppose you can try uninstalling and reinstalling OpenRCT2, but I'm just guessing at this point... the other thing you can try is making the computer you're on the DMZ host to open all ports up for it on the router.
djwessie Posted August 27, 2018 Author Posted August 27, 2018 With help of Krutonium, I found a fix! The Open RCT-2 installation conflicted with steam, so I had to separate the two installations in order to get the server running! Thanks for the input! Might be useful to others as well who are running servers. 1
