More Vertical Face Types

Currently there are only 4 vertical face styles (these are not the official names for them fyi):

1. The default (earth)

2. Brown wood

3. Grey Wood

4. Ice

Yet there are many more horizontal face styles (14 I believe).

This came to mind so here it is out in the open.

Yikes, let's not change the save file format then. I've got a huge park in the making, I'd go into a rampage if it became corrupted or unplayable... or am I worry over nothing?

OpenRCT2 will switch to a new save file format at some point in the future. When this happens, OpenRCT2 will make it possible for RCT2 filetypes (.sv6, .sc6, .td6) to be converted to the new save file format. However, the new file format will not be compatible with vanilla RCT2.

Okay, so if I got this right:

If I added custom scenery into a park and saved it. It would then not be convertible to the new file types and ultimately be incompatible with new versions of OpenRCT2.

No, it would be convertible, however it could not be playable in versions prior to the format change (not sure why you would want to anyway, but whatever)

Sounds like good news then.

I think I got bit confused on what vanilla means. Totally agree though, wouldn't understand any reason to go back and play RCT2 now that this version is here for the long haul.

Believe it or not upon finding OpenRCT2 through Google. I actually did like a "kick-back" from my seat because I thought it was too good to be true. Similar to those 'omgican'tbelieveitactuallyexists!!' moments. xD

Just to clear up any remaining confusion, vanilla RCT2 refers to the original game made by Chris Sawyer.

I come from the future, in 2047 Broxzier's son will release version 24.9.0 and it will have the new save format.

(I hope past me doesn't notice I stole my own account)

Oh yeah, and the first textures added should be the wall ones (like in RCT1), and also the roof textures to the flat land textures. (again, like in RCT1).  :D:D:D
