  1. Time for a new update!

    Overview:

    Firstly, i made a transport ride around the park. I decided to go with the streamlined monorail trains as they fit best in the space theme. I will make it move around and between (and maybe through) the buildings that i place, to give it that busy look. I will probably give it a nicer station building later.

    After that i decided to start work on a roller coaster. I tried out a few things and decided to try and build a very compact looping coaster. I completely enclosed it inside a building, and I am quite happy with the result.

    And finally, I wanted to find a good way to use one of the craters. That's why i decided to build a space ship containing two 3D cinemas :D It's not the sleekest design, and I am not really happy about the top part, so I'll probably end up modifying it.     Great start. However seeing there's a hover car ride makes me wonder why the reverse freefall coaster is a regular (vanilla) one instead of a jet pack booster, which was included in the same expansion pack (Time Twister).

    I have considered the jet pack booster but i prefer the normal cars. They look a lot better in my opinion and also fit really well in the space theme.

    Nice start there. What is your plan with coasters? Surely there's only few trains that are enclosed, or before riding they wear plane emergency style breath helper :D?

    I'll probably just enclose the stations and mid course brake runs. Guess they'll just have to hold their breath for a while xD

  5. Alright, time for an update!

    One thing i noticed is that it's difficult to show off everything when you make buildings around everything xD I will try anyway.

    Overview:

    This is the kind of look i am going for in my park. Maybe i'll make some areas with differently colored glass. I'll probably also make a suspended monorail traveling through the park (Or maybe a normal monorail with streamlined trains).

    First i made a small food court, where people can buy delicious tentacles. Even in space people need to eat xD

    This building houses space elevator, a double deck observation tower.

    A hover car ride named Regolith Racers drives around between the buildings. I'll probably make a few more of these throughout the park. This one will probably also be extended a bit as i make more buildings.

    And last but not least, there is a Reverse Freefall coaster named Particle Accelerator (which can also be seen in the other screenshots). Here's a view with scenery turned off:

    I like how it connects to the bridges between the buildings.

    Because The great circle is sort of finished, i decided it's time to start a new project! :D I found out that i really liked to build space-themed buildings, so i decided to make a space themed attraction park. Again, i made a simple height map, this time with a big circular area and some craters.

    My plan is to only fill the big circular area (Although some rides will probably extend a bit outside it :P. I know myself).

    I'm planning to make lots of buildings, connected to one another by covered bridges. As a restriction, all areas where people can walk will have to be covered. I won't fully cover rides as that will probably look crap :P This is the building peeps enter when they enter the park:

  7. Alright, this park probably is not going to change much anymore.

    Things that went well:

    - Learned to hold CTRL while placing scenery 9_9

    - Made decent station buildings for most rollercoasters

    - I'm happy about the design of almost all rides

    Things that didn't go very well:

    - Guests keep getting lost.. Difficult to implement straightforward paths if a part of the park is so much higher than the rest.

    - Park rating xD

    Time for a new project! :D

    @Darthyoda714 Can i work on the log flume as well? I want to do some theming on it (layout may change a little bit on some points).

    We should at least move it away from its current position because it is in the way for new paths to the central plaza.

    I would really like to do some work on the Go-Kart track and the surrounding scenery in my next turn if that's okay with you.. I want to make it blend nicely into the landscape and smoothen the track out a bit (because right now it looks a bit random) and actually make it pirate themed (since i have never made something pirate themed and i want to try :D). Also, that building could definitely use some work. Let me know if you're okay with it.

    (Unless you're working on it now, of course:P)

    About trackitecture, you may not like it but others do. I think it's fine to use it as long as it's not overdone. We are nowhere near the ride limit yet so let's worry about that later. If it becomes a problem we can remove parts or combine several wooden roller coasters used for trackitecture into one for example.

    Changes would include: colour schemes, ground textures, minor decoration and vegetation.

    Since you want to work on that area.. That fort is one big pathfinding issue and is one of the reasons so many people are getting lost in the park :D

  15. Did some landscaping around the space center, and built two rides:

    Now, the space center is surrounded by a more moon-like landscape. One of the rides is a hover car ride with hidden track (from time twister). And yes, @Broxzier, i used crooked house mode:P) The other one is a Sputnik themed mini suspended coaster.

    Besides that, i rebuilt the monorail station in the wooden building, so now it has 2 stations again. I also opened it, so people finally get to ride it.

    Last but not least, i closed everything on the farm or put it in test mode, since people kept trying to go there (which is currently not possible).

    I moved the Roto-drop to a different location to make space for yet another roller coaster that extends over the edge of the middle area. Here it is, in its new location:

    A giga coaster sponsored by Ferrari, with an emphasis on speed.

    First, from the station building it gently travels over a bridge.

    After that, it will wait for the track ahead to clear. When that is done, it will enter the launch track where it will be launched to a speed of 130km/h.

    After this, the train enters a circuit with several high speed turns and some big hills.

    Let's take a moment to commemorate the brave handymen who risk their lives everyday to keep the lawn under this rollercoaster in good shape :P

    It's a small building, so changing it back will not cost you a lot of time. The changes made it look much better though (in my opinion) 9_9

    The compact orange coaster doesn't really scream 'realism' either 9_9 Just build what you like!
