How about chairlifts?
- They work well in a map with lots of height differences
- We can make their end stations blend nicely into the cliffs
- They will not interfere with the stuff we make on the ground that much since they can be built pretty high and in a straight line
I attached an example save and some screenshots. Note that i now made them end on some arbritratry rocks in the center but in the real park their end station would be a nice building, to be created by people who love doing that.
Note that the screenshots below are just some quick ideas that i created in a few minutes, if you guys don't like this idea I'm perfectly fine with that

Super cool I wonder how's to take a river rapids ride and seeing that massive slope
The log flume would probably be okay but I'm pretty sure a river rapids is not made for going 90 km/h

Did my picture not show up? But yes, very similar to what you had drawn.
EDIT: Sorry, I just realized you put an actual monorail in.... duh. Does it stay the same elevation throughout the park? I can't tell from your screen. If not, I would suggest doing that.
Because of the height differences in the map, the monorail cannot stay at a constant elevation.. It would probably only work well with short trains (or some cheats)
EDIT: I attached the save file just as an example

Hmmm. What about a monorail moving around the main part of the park something like this? I think it keeps a lot of the ideas we had at the beginning, puts a station near (but not too close to) each entrance, and provides a nice way around the park.
I guess it would look somewhat like this?

I saw a post about this on the RCT reddit. Here are some quotes for you:
--
OpenRCT2 dev here. Getting the game to run with RCTC files will be a personal priority once it comes out. We experimented with the .apk after the android release, and made some significant progress, so unless the PC version drastically changes the data storage method, RCTC should be a viable replacement for RCT2 in the import process in the near future.
--
RCT2 is the baseline for the game, and will remain the baseline until it's fully independent. The idea is to allow for RCTC to be an alternative to RCT2. We have no plans for adding anything with the RCTC files that can't be done with the RCT2 ones for exactly this reason.

So, should we maybe plan some transport rides while we're at it? I have some ideas which i will just throw out here.
- Personally i really like monorails above paths. Something we could do here is build monorails above the paths from the entrances to the center of the map. By only giving the monorails an entrance at the park entrance and only an exit at the center of the map, we could distribute peeps to the center of the map, and away from the park entrances. The empty trains could then return through a fully underground route and re-emerge back at the park entrance.
- Maybe some chairlifts from the center of the map towards the cliffy areas, also mostly following paths so they don't get in the way of our coasters.
- A miniature railroad probably doesn't work as well on such a hilly map (But i could be mistaken!).
These are just ideas that i have, feel free to add / discuss / scold / dance / share your ideas It's a group effort after all.

OK, here is the updated file!
I added an extra entrance, together with an imaginary path to the center area. I also handcrafted some extra cliffs while i was at it. (Note i rotated the screenshot angle a bit to better show the entrance)
So, what is the idea with the cliffs? I guess they are supposed to be sort of a natural border to the park? Since many people in this thread showed a desire to have mountains, maybe we could make some small cliffy areas a bit more to the center.. I would love to build a coaster around them. Then again, that can always be made later when you're building
PS: I also experimented a bit with dead trees from the spooky set on the brown part of the cliffs. Feel free to remove them if you don't like it.

Alright, I guess i'll CLAIM it to do some work !

Hi everyone,
I just realized I haven't introduced myself here yet. I have been a regular visitor of this forum, mostly checking the progress of the group parks, but never really posted anything. That is going to change now
I have been playing RCT2 since it just came out (with usually a few years of pause in between). I love to see other people's creations and I'm excited to get started on a group park.

You should probably try to make your park stand out if you want people to download it.. To me, this just looks like a blank map with some hills on it. Give us some interesting landscape, preferably with one or two cool rides in it. You can probably do much better than this!

How about two entrances? As Saxman suggested, I like the idea of having a nice bridge over the river from the bottom right.

So, after not playing RCT2 for a long time, i decided to do something i have wanted to do for a long time: Combine a mountain with a ton of water rides (and mixed with some rollercoasters)!
From the entrance, the riders splash down a long slope, reaching speeds of almost 80kmh! After a big splash the riders are gently transported to the exit. From there, the empty boats will be transported upwards again through a complex system of conveyors while the poor customers will have to walk all the way up the mountain again! (Unless they use one of the transport rides, of course)

No offence taken I was just showing some ideas i had. It's called a group park, not Deurklink park.
