If you really want to boost your excitement, read this guide.
Here's a very short one that has 10 excitement. It takes only 14 seconds to complete.
PS: I'm sure you can do a better job at the station building of the monorail. The station has some clipping issues and the bricks make it look really bland. Maybe try using some different materials? I think wooden walls would look good in this area.

Yes, if you install RCT1 you can play those scenarios with OpenRCT2.
Then in options, you simply link to the install path:

That indeed makes it a lot better! Maybe make it like that there are different civilizations who all compete for this new planet, the different area shows each nation. Then you could come up with a civilization who builds rather weird structures like the CCTV Headquarters in Bejing , Museum of Contemporary Art in Rio de Janeiro, Rotating Tower in Dubai and Habitat 67 in Montreal. Or have like allied nations who have similar styles and like some sort of rebels who have besides some main buildings very bare buildings.
Well at least there's nothing wrong with your imagination
(That CCTV building looks really cool though!)

I can't decide which I like rather, if you have any other colour in mind that you want to see on one of the saves you can tell me in this topic.
A
B
Choose A or B here: http://www.strawpoll.me/14476831
Both options will work What bothers me more is the color of the rollercoaster.. I think it looks a lot better if you make it just a little bit brighter like this:
Of course that's just my preference, what matters is that you like it

I've been busy lately, and as result Dynamite Dunes has seen little progress (but at least it now has restrooms (US)/toilets (UK), I noticed I had not built one shortly after the previous post). Anyway, the original coaster has received a brand new station building and some themeing.
There's also a Ferris Wheel (one of the musts in my parks), which I'm not showing yet as the area is still under construction. However I haven't decided yet what to build.
Cool, it reminds me of the building i made in minecraft today:
(PS: nobody will get offended whether you say restrooms or toilet, just pick one)

The yellow + red + green (water) isn't really a good colour combo. I think you should use a different path and use the in-game or selfmade supports. For a different area it just doesn't look different enough. I like the start of the park though.
Yea i'm still looking for a better color combo.. I have already repainted those windows three times Not sure if i will change the building style too much in the different areas.
EDIT: I'm already a lot happier with this:
It contrasts nicely with the red and orange, and looks much better than yellow.

Really like what you did Deurklink with the go karts, never thought of adding more karts (silly me), and the log flume is nice, like the building. Honestly i'm pretty new to openrct2 and only beginning to get good so I see your points about the flaws on both.
Here are some more tips to build nice Go Karts:
- Generally, for Go Karts you should keep the queue short as they have quite limited capacity.. If the queue time is over 7 minutes people will start complaining, which will drag down your park value.
- Go karts will usually look a lot nicer if you limit the amount of height transitions. Real kart tracks are usually flat or sometimes have a fly-over.
- For every piece of station, you can usually put 2 extra karts. 12-16 karts is what i usually tend to go for.
- You can use pipe pieces from the mechanical theme to look like tires stacked next to the track.
- I like to paint my kart tracks in alternating red and white:

A pretty big expansion this time!
I have decided to divide the park into four quarters, each with their own color. That is assuming i do not hit a limit before the park is filled. I have now added a yellow colored part to the park. Also, it looks like the guests don't like to choose between eating tentacles or tentacles (worst food award).
I added a new food court, where guests can enjoy a big variety of tentacles. They can also buy space suits here (white shirts).
Besides that, i built an enterprise and a roto-drop in some buildings nearby.
Inside view:
They're getting quite crowded so i should probably build some extra covered paths between the buildings.
I built an extra station for the monorail:
And finally, i built another rollercoaster named Whizzer (like its earth counterparts ), which extends over 3 buildings.

I see now, you said stuff about changing the tracks. I must've overlooked, sorry.
No problem, I am glad you liked my contributions to the park

Not claiming (yet), but I think I want to note that I find it rude that you completely changed the layout of the go-karts track. Further it's a nice update with a lot of refreshed areas, just note Darthyoda might not agree with a changed track layout.
That's why i asked nicely first I'm not going to change someone's stuff if they don't allow me to.

Alright, here's my contribution!
I'll put some before & after screenshots, as I did some work on Darthyoda's rides (with his permission).
First off, the pirate-themed kart track. This is how it used to look (I already removed the building here):
There were several things wrong with it.. First off, it had only 8 cars and a big queue (more than 20 minutes.. yikes). Other than that, the race track looked very random. Also, the pirate theme was missing (although i like the name)
This is what i turned it into:
I extended the station, allowing for more cars. I smoothened out the track and gave it some straight parts so it looks more like an actual race track. And of course, i surrounded it with pirate themed scenery
Next up was the log flume:
As discussed earlier, it had to be moved. Also, the turns right after the drops would make it a very uncomfortable ride. Also, I'm pretty sure the first rotating element would just be skipped by logs with people in them as they would have too much speed. This is what i turned it into:
First off, i moved it a little bit from its former location. The log flume now makes its first drop to the right instead of straight ahead. It now has some straight parts after its drops as well, and uses more boats. I also gave it a nice station building and added some scenery around it. I think the log flume and the kart track became pretty nice!
Finally, I decided to add an attraction of my own. I made a pretty standard corkscrew coaster layout with two loopings and a double corkscrew. Also, i added a path through the station building to Space World, to make it easier for peeps to get there without getting lost. @RedScope53 Feel free to redo the trees in this area
Some other stuff i did:
- Hidden some of the toilets in the park inside station buildings.
- Hired some extra staff
- Made all staff super-fast again
- Placed extra litter bins in a few places
- Fixed vandalism
- Finished fence of Space World
I think i did enough in this turn, so the next person is up! @Wuis!!!

Cool update!
I like what you did to part of the fences:
Not sure about the lamps though, i'll probably replace them:
I like the entrance gate to Illuminati confirmed, I'll probably recolor it to something like this:

So, to make up for the lack of updates in the last week, here's another one
Overview:
I decided to go for the more natural looking green water in the craters. Also, i expanded the park a bit in all directions. I modified the monorail to have a longer path in between the buildings and gave it a longer station.
First off, i built an air-launched rollercoaster named Escape Velocity, which partially goes underground. I may build more buildings over the underground part, but for now i'll keep it this way. I also built a Top Spin called Warp Drive in the building next to it.
Inside view:
Next, i made an attraction with boats that float on a rare and exotic form of ice that is completely liquid.
Inside view (from another angle):
It also seems some sharp beaked alien lifeforms have decided to take refuge in the crater next to it.
And finally, i built a suspended swinging rollercoaster using old-fashioned rocket trains, which partially runs outside the building. I never build any of these, but i think this one actually looks pretty good.
And the inside view:
Here's the save, for people who want to take a look:

It's been a few days, but here's a new update!
Overview:
I expended a bit to the sides, and added some rollercoasters. I played a bit more with the craters but didn't manage to make something that looked good, so for now i will just build around them.
So on one end of the park we have two new attractions:
A 3D cinema called Radar Dome (the one thing i copied from the space ship ). Next to that is a shuttle coaster called Graviton (Inspired by the one from Crumbly Woods). Riders are exposed to the outside world for part of the ride, but i think it looks pretty cool.
And here's an inside view:
On the other end of the park, i built a reverse-incline launched junior roller coaster named Time Twister. I also built a new food court next to it. I will probably make some fake bridges to the top level of the food court.
And the inside view:
I am still not sure what to do with the craters, but so far this is the idea that i like best:
Here's the save, for the people who are interested:

This park is so good, my computer can't even run it at full speed!
I know right! Several processor-manufacturing companies are already running my park as a benchmark

By the way, be careful as current openRCT2 build is a bit broken Flying and lay-down rollercoasters will crash as soon as they go inverted.. For any rollercoaster without a full circuit (any shuttle type ride) the stats will not be calculated.

When someone does not claim their turn in time, or went over the 48-hour limit after claiming it, they will be moved to a missed turn list, and the next person in the queue may take their turn.
So, i guess the next person in the queue is up?

Guide: How to win awards with your park in OpenRCT2
in Guides, Tips and Tricks
Posted · Edited by Deurklink
Updated some thought types and award duration
In scenarios, park awards are a good way to attract more people to your park, as they temporarily increase your park rating (if i'm not mistaken).
When i do a seach on Google on how to win park awards(like 'best staff' or 'safest park') in RCT2, i get a lot of misinformation or incomplete information. With OpenRCT2, we actually have the exact information on how to win them and the exact numbers so i decided to make a list
The following information is all taken from GitHub and all credits should go to the people who wrote the code (and especially the comments).
First off, when are awards awarded, and which one is chosen?
Every month at the beginning of the month, the game chooses a random award that is not currently active. The game will check the conditions of the chosen award, and will award it to the player if the conditions are fulfilled.
How long is an award active?
Awards are active for 4 months.
How many awards can be active at the same time?
You can have 4, but because the game checks a random one every month, this is very rare.
What do awards do?
Every positive award that is active multiplies the guest spawn probability by 1.25. Every negative award multiplies the spawn probability by 0.75.
Now here's a list of the awards, with the conditions you need to fulfill:
For the safest park award, the game checks all rides to see if this variable is 0 for every ride, and if no more than 2 peeps think "The vandalism here is really bad".
Please share this post on other websites(reddit, youtube) if you see someone asking about awards. There's a lot of wrong information out there!
