YOLOEEE Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 My laptop has 64bit system, and apparently I can't run openrct2 since it is 32bit program. Is there any way to launch it without reinstalling my windows in 32bit? I want to play multiplayer with my friend
Maize04 Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 There should be no problem to start a 32bit program on a 64bit system, just try it
GingerAdonis Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 What @Maize04 says is correct. OpenRCT2 will run fine on both 32-bit and 64-bit.
YOLOEEE Posted January 17, 2016 Author Posted January 17, 2016 When I open openrct2.exe it says you can't launch this application on your pc, and when I open openrct2.zip it says it can't open the folder. Maybe is it because my computer is windows 10? just doesn't work me
jensj12 Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 OpenRCT2 works fine on my 64bit win10 laptop. Where did you get the zip file from? (try if the launcher works for you, also gives auto-updates)
RuneLaenen Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 Yeah, try downloading the launcher on openrct.net. It will magically download and update the game for you. If that doesn't work let me know. For people who are reading this in the future, the launcher will probably have moved to openrct2.org
Broxzier Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 What do you mean with "Just doesn't work"? Are you getting an error message? Does nothing appear when you open it?
janisozaur Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 We're tied to x86 for the time being. We can build for other little-endian 32-bit platforms with some functionality disabled, but amd64 is out of reach for now.
YOLOEEE Posted January 18, 2016 Author Posted January 18, 2016 Now I am trying to download the files from this link: https://openrct2.com/download/latest and it says ""Failed - Network Error". I tried several times, and still failed I don't know what is wrong with my computer
