Electroflux Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 In multiplayer, is it possible to essentially create 2 parks on 1 map? My point is, my gf and I would like to build separate parks...but on the same map...preferably with different conditions for each player.
Broxzier Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 You can create a big map with 2 areas, and then use one area each. Conditions cannot be different, and personally I don't see the point in having that either.
Krutonium Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 I can see a point - it would be a fair amount more challenging, plus you have to deal with peeps being pissed because they can't get to rides in the other park.
Electroflux Posted December 19, 2015 Author Posted December 19, 2015 Will that actually be the case? I could see that issue basically making this idea moot. I was thinking about just creating two boundaries, for each park with separate entrances...but that might be conflicting with the AI.
Broxzier Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Not just the AI, it will also conflict with a lot of the logic. There is no way of knowing what belongs to which part easily, especially for parks that allow building over unonwed land, it will be difficult to keep the money separate, as well as the scenario's goal.
Krutonium Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Technically this could be made possible someday with a fair amount of programming work, but today - no, it's not a good idea. So... Yah. I personally would love something like this though.
imlegos Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 ORCT2 with a vs. multiplayer... kinda sounds interesting, but not applicable atm.

It could be possible, but not with the system limitations, and the current version of OpenRCT2. It can be done with two people on a skype call, or some other way of recording Two capture devices in a AttackingToucans VS style. That would be neat.
imlegos Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Keyword is 'Multiplayer' that's just 2 single player games setup the same.
