SensualEthiopianPolice Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 (edited) I'm trying to figure out how to make better-looking scenery. New Element recommends adding more detail but I'm not sure how to go about doing that. Any suggestions? Here's a pic for reference (particularly the carousel and Big Dipper station): Edited May 12, 2016 by SensualEthiopianPolice
jensj12 Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 The best way to improve is to just keep trying. I'm horrible with scenery myself too so I'm often just copying what others made (only the build style, not the building itself), but I'm getting better every time. I'd happily read what tips others have (preferably without custom objects).
ziscor Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 (edited) I know this must mean absolutely nothing coming from me, but keep trying combinations you wouldn't think of. You never know what other things might go wonderfully well with each other and add more detail to your structures. You can always look up other people's work on NED to see how they did their detailing. You might figure out as you keep playing, really. Edited May 12, 2016 by ziscor
Broxzier Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 Don't start with big buildings, start small. Try new things and remove things you don't like. You'll get the hang of it soon enough to start making larger buildings.
