How to set up a server properly?

So I know I have to press start server, check the visibilty box and fill in a name, but when I look up the servers here https://servers.openrct2.website/ it doesn't show up. Am I doing something incorrectly? Or isn't it possible to host a server from your regular pc.

1. Check if the correct ports are open (idk exactly how to do that, but it has been posted before). If the given port is closed, find a way to open it (this depends on your network router).

2. Make sure you 'advertise' the server so it shows up in the public server list.

Check the console for any warnings (the black window).
