Well, I think we got a problem...I just tried to play the game with my original (no extra scenery's or rides added) ObjData-Folder and when I launch either normal RCT2, the stable OpenRCT2 or the OpenRCT2 Launcher my saved-game (for this topic) doesn't start up. I have selected the plug-in for saved games (when objects will be installed in the game). This does work when I play with the normal RCT2. But when I do this with either OpenRCT2 it doesn't want to start up the saved game...The only extra things that I selected for the game were Liampie's building blocks, AE-Pirate-theme, AE-Slide, a mini-train (car ride with trains) and some extra rides wich can be downloaded here via OpenRCT2.So that means if I can't open it...you can't either. Here are some screenshots, because until this is fixed the next in line must start where I started :(View imageTotal overviewView imageOne side viewView imageOther side viewPlease help Broxzier...so everyone can enjoy this and the next one can continue. Should I upload it or send it to you private, so you can take a look ?Thnxsss man,Regards,ErikEdit: As you can see in the pictures, I still have some room where I wanted to build a coaster or something, but first comes first...It must be playable for everyone.
-
Hello Broxzier, I'm almost done. I've nearly worked two days on it so I hope people like it...I'm fine-tuning things now and I'm working on my final ride (the first coaster in the park) :) How much time do I have left ?No, I don't know how to upload it yet...
-
Ok thnxsss, I'm working on the park at the moment (y)

Where is UTMAN's version V22 ? I can only download V21, or did UTMAN made the park as it is now ?Also, I have found the debugging option, but when I type help only a few options show up...Not Object Selection, so where can I find it and how do I use that ? I must enter some options there...
-
Hi Broxzier ;)If I want to put some custom scenery into the saved game, how can I do that when the game is already made ? Is it possible to add custom scenery to a saved game with OpenRCT2 options, or should I use another program for that...Another on-topic question...How much time do I have after UTMAN ??
-
This uses a ride which you can use for other purposes...When I do that, I don't even use hex-editing (I don't even know how to do that, because it's one of the things in RCT2 that I never mastered). I just build an invisible path and with zero-clearences I build the scenery for steps. That gives the same result :)
-
There is another option of course...Let the only people who can vote be the people who did not work on this park. In that way nobody can vote for his or her own coaster and will there be a fair vote ;)

I think Jens idea is a good idea (y). May I suggest if that's ok with the other builders that we use some CS...I would like to use some pirate-scenery (for example EA, it is my favorite theme) and the pirate theme from the game.
-
Ok, thanks guys...In that case I would like to give it a try as well ;)When will we start ?
-
Unfortunatly I can't play this scenario then, because I use WW/TT all the time...I also can't make a new installation of RCT2 without WW/TT because when I do that I will need my current ObjData-Folder where all of my DAT.files are in (including the ones from WW/TT). I don't know what will happen if I make a new and fresh installation for RCT2 and copy all of my files from my current game to the new installation...I think that the game will chrash if I install the DAT's from WW/TT without using the installer...Does anybody has done this before and know what will happen ? I probably can't play my current scenarios anymore...
-
That's strange...I have downloaded these new rides and put them in my ObjData-Folder and when I try to start-up the game I get this error:View imageWhatever choice I click on, the program closed down and won't start.Edit: Sorry for this post, I already found out what went wrong...I accidently put a file from "Chris Sawyer's Locomotion" in my RCT ObjData-Folder...

Some of his scenery fits perfectly in the game, others don't.I realy can't remember anymore about UCES. Maybe Jens knows about it, but the readme on the site that you mentioned makes perfect sense. I also know that UCES came with a few very nice looking scenario's and nice scenery as wel. I think I just took the scenery that I liked and dropped the rest of it...But it's been so long since I have even played RCT. It came back to my attention when I first found out about OpenRCT2 wich is 2 weeks ago. By then I decided to install the game on my laptop and copy my old ObjData-Folder with all of my old saved games as well...and now I'm back :)
-
I have UCES as well, but I don't use it anymore. Still have the download-file somewhere. Only thing is...I don't have any room for new objects because I already have the max amount of files in my ObjData-Folder...5425 items in total. When I put one more file in it, I get that bug that the slider in the object selection doesn't want to move...

There is two themes that I realy like...Pirates and water(rides). Both can be found on the site of amazing Earl and I would like to join in on this second group map if that's ok with you man (y). I have a few ideas at my hand...
-
Thnxsss a lot man ! I also noticed in the latest version that you can create you're own starting show for the game with your own parks included. That's a very cool option and I think I can manage that one just fine (y)...
-
Think we should use it for the next all-together build amusement park hahahaha ?
-
Hahahahaha, maybe you should do that Runelaenen...Thanks for the all warm welcome ;)
-
I can't find that option in any park Broxzier...Not in my old parks, and not in new parks that I want to start. Where can I find that option then ?Thnxsss ;)

I used to play Transport Tycoon when it came out in 1994, but when Locomotion came out as a spiritual succesor to Transport Tycoon I stopped playing Transport Tycoon. I liked the grahics more of Locomotion (it also uses the same engine as RCT). The thing that I hated the most in Transport Tycoon (and therefore OpenTTD wich I played as well) is the stupid looking railroads with their strange diagonal turns in it. Also OpenTTD is much smaller then Locomotion's graphics.I must admit that in OpenTTD mods are much easyer to use and more vehicles and bigger maps can be used. If they would only use the best of both Locomotion and TTD together then there would be a much better game !!

8-Cars Trainer doesn't work

I think the "Zero Clearence". But there are also functions in the ride-editor to make rides completly invisible or just parts of rides. I also need fuctions to merge rides with each other so I can make vehicles from rides drive another track type. Those are the functions I really need to create my hacked rides... -
Oooow, and I also made a video long ago on how I build the Titanic wich can be viewed here:[yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqajudhfLbs[/yt]

Hi there, my name is Erik van Kaldekerken, 38 years old and from the Netherlands. I'm new to openrct2, but of course not new to the game. I started to play the game when the first one came out and loved it ever since...My other favorite game from Chris Sawyer is Locomotion and therefore I'm also a longtime member on the tt-forums and made some of my own mods for that game.My most well known and only scenario I ever uploaded to the public is my Titanic-Scenario. The first one came out in 2003 or so. I will upload a new version to the forums here and hope that people can throw some creativity in it.View image[/img] A picture of my Titanic-Scenario.I love to hack the game, but lately I don't have a lot of time to play...Things are changed since ten years ago hahahaha. My other hobby's are my two daughters, movies, the works of Stephen King, modelling, music and playing on my consoles.Anyway, I still play RCT every now and then and I think it's great that the people from openrct have made the game even better then Chris Sawyer did so far...Thnxsss guys ;)Regards,Erik

Ok, thanks runelaenen...Then I just stick to the normal RCT2 when I want to build a hacked ride.
