(and thus I applied Article 155 of the Spanish Constitution, errr the Respect Rule, which also prevents me to delete the "coasters" around Symphony of the Night since I don't like the usage of them as scenery and thus wasting ride slots)

All of the trackitecture around my rides stem from only one coaster, so at max I've "Wasted" only 4 ride slots for it. This isn't my first rodeo. I know how to do it properly ;)

  2. Did someone by chance recolour the terrain around my new ride? Because it all seems to be dirty grass now when I never intended it to be... I actually custom tiled it, picking specific tiles for grass, dirt, stone etc. and now it seems to just be dirty grass? Curious as to why the change was made? Also the pathways seem to have been redesigned completely...

  3. Didn't get nearly as much as I wanted done, found time as best as I could to do it, but I was just too busy in the end. So will have to return to it on my next turn.

Continued building up onto the mountain with a Wing Rider! As well as a mansion for surrounding scenery. Also got a mountain pathway completed to allow foot travel to the location.
Besides that, I touched up on a few areas around 1081p's ride. Not much, mainly just fixed a few clipping areas of scenery.

    Right, just finished :)
Decided to branch out to one of the islands to make it accessible later, as it's somewhere I would like to develop. I tried not to add many custom pieces, but the ones I added should be useful to others.

And so I pass on the torch!

It is not. The game pallet is changed dynamically for this effect.

Ah I see, I assumed it was just an overlay since the colour of the UI also adjusted

I also feel it would be a shame as the lights never really did anything since night time wasn't a thing in the base game... But now there is a night time? They're just as useless :P

Ok, so we need a plan. Let's base our park off of a real world park. I always found Canada's Wonderland near Toronto, Ontario, Canada to be a well designed park. Right past the entrance is a long water feature with shops on either side leading up to a giant mountain. A circular pathway goes around the mountain and paths lead out from the circle to different zones of the park (kiddie area, water park, adventure land, etc).

NOTE: The blue/green giga coaster, Leviathan, going out of the "park boundaries" and past the entrance is the newest large addition to the park. I've been on the ride myself and I love it. However, I'm not a big fan of the ride placement as it seems very squished in.

Definitely against having a flat park, I reckon we should generate a few landscaped templates and mutually agree on which to start with.

As for custom rides, I'd be all for it as they'd make the park feel a little less generic in places and broaden the possibilities, but not an extensive usage of them.

Dunno how I feel about basing it off an existing park... Seems like it would take away from the creative side of thinks somewhat D:

It's just that literally everyone always says something about the limit. It gets tiring hearing about it.

But at the same time not everyone is going to trawl through every topic just to see that no-one has asked the question before...

BEAUTIFUL coaster and setting!  Very rustic feel to the ride/area.

One concern: we will need to adjust the path that parallels the river.  Looks like you built where the path would have gone which is fine.  The person who builds behind will need to curve that path around the brake run.  I can't tell from the screens but did you put a path under the ride?

@Squab Uhh the queue connects up to the main path so kinda I guess? There's no accessible paths under the ride of which peeps not leaving the ride or queuing can access...

I have been playing this simulator for 15+ years and never knew how people were doing it.  I assumed they were using trainers or other hacks.  o.O

It has been this simple all along.  -_-

I believe for the most part that was the case, use of trainers and such. I think it's able to be done so easily now as a bug that was left in :P

The problem with increasing the size of a patrol area is finding which handymen is handling which area. And there seem to be over 100 handymen, most of which are patrolling areas.

Side note: How do you create sloped/angled-downwards fences/walls in mid-air? There is a bridge used by the tram track (Original Round err... something) at Nitro's first drop that has wooden fences lining the track, some of them are sloping downwards as if follwing they are sloping of the track.

Right, I'll reveal the secret ;)

Firstly, drag the corner up so you have a diamond shape piece of land.

    Next, place your fence.

Finally drag down the bottom most corner.

I'll include some screenshots that may help, good luck! :)

Enable debugging tools, and you're able to change scenery and rides at any time. There's no need to use ParkDAT or any other to change them.

I agree with xbalogan, a realistic park is also what I want to go for. What do you guys think of removing most rules for this project, and just agreeing with each other before/during someone builds something?

I would completely be up for this concept. I feel like too many rules kinda kills a lot of creative freedom... Where as if we all just agreed on things before they were built (which I don't see why wouldn't happen in like 95% of circumstance anyways) it kinda fixes said issue.
