I finally fixed this issue. This is because my config file was corrupted and had to start OpenRCT2 fresh like new.

Hey. I originally posted this on GitHub because I thought this was a bug, but this is not a bug. I am posting this issue here so I can get help from other people who could resolve this issue. OpenRCT2 is allowed in Norton Security Suite's firewall and I tried disabling auto-protection and still getting this issue. Can anyone help me get multiplayer to work again. Hello, I am trying to help my friend on Steam out, he is trying to run the vanilla version of RCT2 under Windows 8.1 and the OS is struggling with the game. I told him to run under compatibility mode and when he has compatibility mode on under Windows XP SP3, it takes him to Windows Features. How can I fix this issue for my friend running Windows 8.1?

I first heard of OpenRCT2 in one of @Broxzier's video on YouTube and left a comment on his video.

I've been using my Mii as my profile icon since 4 years ago. Me and my brother first got a Wii when I was 8 in 2007 and now I have a Wii U since 2013 and a Nintendo 3DS Flame Red since 2011. Although I rarely play on both of these consoles these days because now I use my iPad mini 1 and my iPhone 5s to surf the web and browse the internet. Also, there is liquid inside of the screen so I have to find a place for people to repair my 3DS's screen. I had memories playing Wii Sports Resort, Mario Kart Wii, and more Wii games with my friends a long time ago. Good times.
