Mrcobayo Posted September 25 Posted September 25 (edited) Hi, I downloaded OpenRCT and played through the Roller Coaster Tycoon scenarios. I made some custom coaster designs and saved them so I can use them in other parks. I do this a lot while playing multiple Roller Coaster Tycoon scenarios. Now I'm playing Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 scenarios, but the custom designs don’t appear. What can I do? As you can see in the picture, while playing Forest Frontier, they appear named as "AA Madera 1" and "AA Sincrónica," but in Crazy Castle, they don’t appear. Thanks! Edited September 25 by Mrcobayo
ExCrafty Posted September 25 Posted September 25 Wooden coasters have two different types now unfortunately. I can see from the two pics you posted. the first one is the "Wooden roller coaster" the second one is the "Classic Wooden roller coaster". It's annoying but that's how it is now. I forget why it's like that though. I think it has to do with the different elements from the two games maybe ? Hope this helps. 1
Gymnasiast Posted September 27 Posted September 27 ExCrafty’s answer is correct. The background of it is that the Wooden Roller Coaster in RCT1 has a much shallower bank, a different colour scheme and a lot fewer pieces. Apart from the vertical loop, it is more reminiscent of the older-style wooden roller coasters as well. If you build them side-by-side, you should see the difference. We implemented this in order to make import from RCT1 scenarios and saves more accurate. Forest Frontiers is an RCT1 scenario, while Crazy Castle is an RCT2 scenario, so that’s why you ran into this. 1
