Broxzier
I assume you're running the launcher on Linux. Wine is a something to run Windows programs on Linux, right? I don't know much about Linux (only had to use it a few times), but you probably don't need it, because OpenRCT2 can be build on Linux too. I don't know if there's a program like the launcher that checks for updates though. Link to comment
macguy67
Yes, Wine is something that you use to launch Windows programs. Link to comment
Broxzier
Just looked it up, and there's no native support for Linux yet. You can play is using Wine though, check this: https://openrct2.com/wine-infoYou'll have to manually update now and then to get the latest features. Link to comment
Gymnasiast
OpenRCT2 is available for Linux. You'd have to build it yourself though, or I can provide you with a copy. Link to comment
macguy67
Gymnasiast, can you provide me a copy? Because firstly, I'm too lazy to compile, and secondly, I'm not sure if the compilation will work or not. My system is Lubuntu 13.10 32-bit. Link to comment
macguy67
another bump. this is taking too long. Link to comment
Broxzier
Saying you're lazy to let someone else do your work isn't nice. Don't expect help for being rude. Link to comment
macguy67
I'm just making preps for upgrading to Lubuntu 14.04 to compile it, Brox. That's why I said it was taking too long. Apparently it needs some packages, specifically SDL packages to be installed, or can I install them without upgrading? Link to comment
