Installing patches

Hi fellows,

Great to see that RCT2 has gone open source. I am an oldschool RCT2 player and I would love to get in the game again. So I have 2 questions:

- Do I need to install patches to get the most out of the game?

- Can I donate?

Every update of OpenRCT2 fixes bugs or adds new or improves features. Keeping OpenRCT2 up to date is therefore recommended.

The OpenRCT2 developers do not accept any monetary donations.

Thanks. Now I know that the official patches aren't needed. I'll make sure to update OpenRCT2 once in a while.

Oh, you meant the official patches for RCT2 itself? Those are indeed not needed, as they mostly/only concern the executable, which we don't use.
